Put down your best post that you feel you made about James Quick. I had to choose between 2 and both got me numerous down votes. The one I am not choosing stated the fact that if it was 50/50 or remotely close that the Fla victory could be the tipping point towards Louisville. That earned me several down votes. But the one I am choosing I believe might be the correct one. Its the first post here.

It hasnt been in his character to look for attention but I do tend to agree with you that Charlie Strong wants to win this battle with Coach Meyer. What better way than to set up the drama and do it on a national stage. If Quick indicated in the slightest Louisville leads there wouldnt be much drama.
I believe he is Louisville and playing a role for Strong right now.

Our BRIDGE broke when James chose Louisville, hopefully Gibson becomes a buckeye so we don't totally fall in the WATER at Wr this year. I guess Louisville was just too STRONG and James wanted to be the hometown star and have QUICK fame.

You put it in black and white long before I did, so kudos to you. I felt Quick was a bit of a long shot (feel that way about Bell, too), and then my feelings were confirmed when I started looking into his close relationship with Louisvile WR Devante Parker (whom he idolized when Parker was in HS) and S Calvin Pryor.

"He is very close to at least one of the Louisville players and has been consulting him during the decision-making process. They spoke within the last 24 hours as Quick made his final decision, but obviously only those closest to Quick are positive of the decision.
My gut says we lose out on this one, but I am hoping that Quick's conversation with the Lousiville player was intended to break the "bad" news to him that he wouldn't be joining him at UofL. We shall see."
From everything that I've read about Mr. Quick, I got the impression that the only reason he was considering any school other than Louisville - who got beat by Rutgers - was that he didn't want to play at a college he believed was considered second rate. When Louisville beat Florida by ten points, I knew he was going to Louisville.
This forum is a nice way of providing everyone with an opportunity to say "I told you so" and then paste proof.

This battle may not even be over yet. I'm not saying Urban will keep pursuing but who knows
Adding Gibson gives us three very good receivers. We have some upper classmen receivers who can get down the field, as can jacobs. Gibson and Jalin can be the receivers we lacked this past year.... The sky is definitely not falling.
