I not worried about it. Actually I'm extremely surprised by he fact I have a positive sticker count on the post given I was being so tongue in cheek extreme. Makes me feel a bit better about the posters on this board.
The best thing to do is sit back, go about the daily grind, and take February 6th off of work so we can see everything on LOI day, that is what I plan on doing.
I hope Bell pulls the trigger to OSU then, I love the kids game and he can ball, for sure!
I agree Dub. Unfortunately I will be taking the day off not by choice(got a surprise pink slip on Wednesday). But I have to just wait as patiently as possible and hope for the best. I love this kids skill set and he would be an amazing topper to this years class.
Nonetheless, any new or interesting info on his part will be meticulously picked over by yours truly. I just don't really see anything happening till NLOID.

State is a long road. You go too far south and you're in the ghetto. Go too far north and you're in the sticks NW of Stow. The Falls are just right. Gorgeous women just flock here, and they all work for UPS.
I worked for UPS for a couple years (but not in Akron), and I can say I saw very few good looking women while working there. Most of the women were manlier than me and were not into men.
Hearing more & more good things about Bell's visit. Makes me wonder, again, why Jayme Thompson would tweet what he did. Bell said he's taking all 3 visits & will announce on signing day. Perhaps Thompson didn't get the memo! I may be reading too much into it, but something tells me Thompson hopes Bell is Bama bound.
Guys, I am the one who asked Thompson if he was talking about Bell in his post. FWIW, I specifically asked him if he was referring to Bell. I am pretty certain that Thompson wanted this kid to commit and that he was under the impression that he would. Obviously, it didn't happen but I think it would be a fair assumption that these kids, ALL of these D1 kids are highly competitive and they want to be known as having "THE BEST CLASS" on National Signing Day. I could be wrong but I really don't think I am....
Here's to Bell STILL becoming a Buckeye. I too, am skeptical at this point. All I keep thinking back to is when we heard all of these reports saying that "we were in a good spot with Quick" and that it was "all but certain that he would be a Buckeye", only to wacth him announce for Louisville. Call it measured cynacism if you will, but like Alex and the 11W staff always says, it's not what the recruit necessarily says, but what he does... I'm hopefull but won't be a damn bit surprised if he goes Saban on us...
"You're pissed because we went after a committed guy? Guess what, we got nine guys who better go do it again. Do it a little harder next time." -- Urban Frank Meyer -- I LOVE THIS DUDE!! :)
According to Quick, he was set to commit to OSU until Louisville dismantled Florida so there was some truth to being in a good spot with him. Obviously, every recruit's case is different, but to just be in the hunt with so many quality players at this point is great so I'm not holding my breathe.
My UPS driver in Cali is an old fat bastard with neck hair flowing out of his shirt. I did not see any neck hair on her, so she would be a definate upgrade.
Seems like it was Bama all along, not sure what the difference was between Urban and Saban over the past couple of days...other than he already had his mind made up coming into the weekend and has an opportunity to go play for the 2 time national champion. Really can't fault anyone for that.
looking forward to getting recruits for that exact reason starting next year!
The whole soft verbal thing doesn't make sense... Yesterday it was reported that he was going to announce on NSD, then he gives a soft verbal the next night????? That doesn't add up. I think Everett Withers can seal the deal when he has his in-home visit. At this point, I'm over it tho. If a kid doesn't want to be a Buckeye that is fine. We will pick up other kids and build a great program without him.
Nobody is saying the kid doesn't want to be a Buckeye. In fact, I'd say at this point in the recruiting process, especially given the elite colleges that offered him, the fact we're in his final 2 or 3 means there is a least a reasonable assumption that part of him wants to be a Buckeye. I'm excited to see how this ends. If we get him, that's awesome. If we don't, then we are good. However, don't say the guy just flat out doesn't want to be here.
Watch it STEENSN they'll ostrasize you for that!......lol

I for one don't wake up, work, and go to sleep. Having fun when one is in their 20s is important. It is part of growing up.
No it isn't.

Sorry to hear that ALPO, hope you can get back to work soon.

Thanks Bad Buck, such is the life in construction!
yea man, terrible news. keep your head up though. Buckeyes will bring you years of happiness, that is for sure.
I put in my request for the day off last week. I will be watching NSD with a friend that is a TN fan. Obviously my day will be better than his.
She....I mean....it sure does;-)

Wow. You'd think with a body like that she would have gone into modeling or something instead of just being a UPS delivery person. smh
Nah. That's how most of the UPS workers look up here near Akron. Real sweetheart, though.
Having lived in Akron for 20 years, I must be looking in the wrong places
I live in Cuyahoga Falls. It's unreal. It's like Malibu or something.
Interesting, considering if I drive from my house, I can be on state road in 90 seconds, and in my recollection, the sun never comes out hahah
Depends which part of State. I'm looking out my living room window onto Broad and there are hunnies errvrywhere.
Well I thought my proximity gave me great familiarity with the Falls, but I guess not. Maybe I should consider moving out there

@Alex, are you going to address some of the negative things you heard after NSD?
Thanks for any info

I read it as Thompson wanted Bell to commit and thought he might, maybe even from the horses mouth, but then when he didn't he felt a bit jilted.
At this point, it's icing on the cake if OSU signs him. If not, let's move on and hope we can get another stud.
Don't give up... Don't ever give up.

Well said Katz, right there with ya

What is neck hair? Wouldn't that be chest hair? Unless it's on the sides, I suppose. Gross.
ESPN reporting that Bell has given a soft verbal to Bama.
Wells Guthrie @WGuthrieESPN
Hearing Ridgeland's Vonn Bell has given #Alabama a "soft-verbal" commitment. Nick Saban visited Bell today at Ridgeland.
Hmmmm... no bueno. Unless there's some good news from Alex sometime soon, I'm not gonna hold out much hope on this one.
Seems like it was Bama all along, not sure what the difference was between Urban and Saban over the past couple of days...other than he already had his mind made up coming into the weekend and has an opportunity to go play for the 2 time national champion. Really can't fault anyone for that.

FWIW, I do not believe a "soft verbal" really makes sense at this stage of the game.
At this point I'm skeptical on the legitimacy of the report.
I will admit that recruiting sometimes makes little sense, but until NSD I like to believe Bell's recruitment is open.
You've got my attention with that comment...I'll sit back and wait this one out as well.

I'm with you on this one. I already think we got our Vonn Bell this weekend with getting 2014 Damon Webb, who is going to be high ranked.

Key word... "IF"... I never said he didn't want to be a Buckeye... I said "IF" he doesn't want to be a Buckeye then it's fine.
Miles 11W @Miles11W
Vonn Bell told me the rumor of giving Alabama his soft verbal is NOT true.
ESPN trying to start shit again ( nothing to see here )
If I could up vote you here I would.
Anybody have any news on how his visit went with Saban or is he still having the in home right now?
Rumor is that Saban did not smile on the visit.
