Findlay University. It is Division II so he will not have to sit out a year. Wow, what a drop.

I thought he would at least end up at a small Division I school. I bet Findlay University is very happy.

He'll likely try tansfering back up after one year. Good way to get to play during that year and still get a scholarship. Wish the best for him.

outstanding. I haven't been to a Findlay game since I played there in the early 90's. Will be nice to go watch the former Buckeye take the field, and hopefully do well. Will only be able to watch a game, if it isn't scheduled at the same time as the Buckeyes, though.

We had some really good players and even got a couple of clips on ESPN from the Championship Game. At the time, Findlay was NAIA Div 2. Made the jump to NCAA Div 2 after I was out of school.

My youngest cousin plays in the marching band there... maybe now I have a reason to go watch a game!?

Now he could transfer to a B1G school after Findlay right? I wonder how many of these guys hold serious grudges with the staff. I know I would have a hard time not wanting to go compete against the school who told me I wasn't good enough.

Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.

kid always has had a good head on his shoulders. he could prob compete at qb position he played in h.s. there. think he just wants to get an education and play some ball. mabey knee injury really prioritized things for him. cant see him transfering again. why waste the year. could of prob went to mac school of choice and sat for year and at least learned system he would be playing in and practice.

I dont know karate but i do know crazy and i'm not afraid to use it.

I'm not buying him staying at Findlay. He is a competitor. If he's good enough to get a full ride at tOSU, he can play and probably start for any school in the MAC.

I'm 99% sure that Findlay runs the "Oregon" offense, and the coach also came from New Hampshire, just like Mr. Chip Kelly. I'd say if Verlon wanted to play QB, he may get a shot there.

Great chance for him. Put up a 1200 yd season and transfer to the best program w a huge WR need without sitting out a year. This year that would have probably been WV. Next year who knows.

I hope everything works out for him. I liked him a lot and thought he would do great things as a Buckeye. I was so bummed when he got hurt. Good luck to him this year!

Wonder if he plays WR or QB at Findlay?

He was a heck of a QB and leader in highschool. May be the best QB on the Findlay roster the day he walks onto the practice field. Will be exciting to watch what unfolds for him I always liked Reed hopefully he does great things!
