Lots of significant drops and gains. Burrows from 39 down into the 60's, however Trey Johnson, Jalin Marshall, and Zeke Elliot all saw pretty significant gains, as did Marcus Baugh.
Apple falls from 6 to 11, but maintains a 5* rating. Pretty much what this shows is the guys in the UA game got bumped up, and the guys that weren't, either stayed the same, or moved over for the UA players.

Surprise: Gareon is the second highest ranked Buckeye. Thanks Hoke!
That's OK he wasn't a Michigan Man and we never really wanted him anyway.
To be fair, many ppl on this site felt he wasn't that good when he first committed to UM over the summer. Just sayin.
I'm for sure happy with Johnson and Marshall moving up, they had been under rated the entire time the 300 was setup. Because Mitchell and Apple were in the Army game and not UA they got screwed, they both played well, especially Mitchell.

My favorite part about ESPN's final Top 300 is that you pass 6 Block O's (#s 11, 43, 48, 49, 56, 62) before you get to an ugly M (#88).
The best part is, one of those Block O's was smart enough to not be an M : )

Until Derrick Green commits...then you only get to pass Apple ;)
It's funny how we as fan bases love/hate X-recruiting site based on how they rank our players. ESPN has been notorious for being, at best, #3 in judging talent of the major 4.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

I guess for me it's 2 fold, 1 is familiarity, love or hate ESPN they're the most recognizable sports organization in the country. Also ESPN is the only recruiting related site my work computer doesn't block : )

Hail's on the money here regarding complaints/praise of recruiting sites. Honestly saying, for example, that one DT is the 137th best player in the country, and he's just a little bit better than the QB who we have ranked at 138 is a fairly silly proposition. Each site has its own strengths and weaknesses, and if you have a player who is regarded as one of the top 100 players in the country by each one of them, there's a pretty good chance that you've got yourself a good one. But hell, it's a long way to September, and we've got to talk about something.
I actually like ESPN recruiting rankings the best as of the last few years... unlike scout who hands out 20+ 5*s, ESPN does their homework for the most part and I feel their rankings are the most accurate. Although I do like the 247 Comp. rankings a lot.
20...try 40-50+ each year. I have never liked Scout. I think the other three all have their strengths though I prefer ESPN or 247(esp with the new composite rankings).
Well, maybe ESPN really does have it right...they have Shane Morris all the way down at #127 and the 8th best QB-PP.
Suprised Conley raised so much. I didn't think he had a ton of plays in the AA game. Bosa drop is BS but hopefully it lights a fire. Glad to see Jalin get a bump. Cams drop suprised me I thought he played well during the AA game. I'm suprised Hill and Barrett didn't get dropped further cuz of their injury. ESPN did pretty well this year IMO your never going toget it 100% right
I think Burrows is head and shoulders above Conley. I think the amazing offensive year Conley had probably put him at a lofty ranking. It will be interesting to see which side of the ball he plays on
Where ever urb needs him

Conley is clearly the better athlete and has more upside. If he played receiver he would be ok but putting him at corner at 6'1" can make him special.
Regardless, If we land Vonn Bell this secondary class is bordering on stupid.
Can someone do a list of how far our commits have gone up or down? Here is a scUM list I poached from MGOBlaahhhhg
#88 Jourdan Lewis (+4)
#91 David Dawson (-4)
#93 Dymonte Thomas (+4)
#101 Patrick Kugler (+14)
#104 Logan Tuley-Tillman (+1)
#114 Mike McCray (-3)
#116 Taco Charlton (+3)
#127 Shane Morris (-73)
#134 Chris Fox (-21)
#157 Kyle Bosch (-30)
#182 Jake Butt (-6)
#232 Jaron Dukes (+1)
#254 Henry Poggi (+34)
#280 Ben Gedeon (+2)
Please note the Shane Morris drop. Wowzas!
A net -86 if my math is correct (which it probably isn't).
actually it is -74 from those numbers above. still crazy though

LOL!
Shane Morris plummets, I love it.

I thought Dawson should have risen much more and LTT and Kluger should have fallen much more. Dawson and Thomas are their two best prospects IMO. Wasn't impressed with Morris at all. He's got elite arm strength but nothing else impressed me.
What kind of moron names their kid TACO?
"Because I couldn't go for 3"
Shane Morris IMO should drop further that he did, I have yet to be impressed with him. The guy that I can't understand to be higher is Trubisky the QB from Mentor. I saw him put up huge numbers against solid D1 teams this year and yet he is around 200 or so on every site. I think we hear from him down the road because he is a really good QB and better than Morris for sure.
Ok I found it for Buckeyes
http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/colleges/osu/post?id=6964 (ESPN Insider)
Eli Apple (5 to 11)
Marcus Baugh (129 to 102)
Gareon Conley (62 to 43)
Ezekiel Elliott (139 to 109)
Trey Johnson (78 to 48)
Evan Lisle (145 to 106)
Jalin Marshall (78 to 49)
Huge gains. I'm a slave to the rankings, sad but true, so that's good to see for sure.

I don't have ESPN Insider, but it looks to me like the Ohio State list is only of the top 150 players, while Michigan's list above includes all players in the top 300.
Anyone have an apple-to-apples comparison?
"What we do in life echoes in eternity"
I see what you did there! Ha
+111 for the Buckeye...not bad at all
The Burrows drop is disappointing, but rankings are what they are. His talent will shine for sure.
