So, EA Sports announced that John "Grown Man" Simon will be representing Ohio State in the Cover Vote for NCAA Football 2014. The others (so far) are Denard "Look at my invisible cereal bowl" Robinson from scUM and Eddie Lacy from Alabama. Yet another reason to vote even if you don't want the game or don't play it. BRING THE HONOR HOME!

They can't be on the cover unless they have already used up all their eligibility at the college level I believe. Lacy's already declared for the draft and Detard and Super Simon were seniors.

correct. Take last year for example: they had RG3, declared for NFL draft by the time the game release (not sure if he was a senior or not), and Barry Sanders, who is a past Heisman winner. In order to be on the cover you have to be able to take some incentives and if players still in college take it they void their amateur status.

i didn't do it for the girl, i did it for the 'Vote or Die' shirt. Stop acting like you are so high and mighty that pictures of girls shouldn't be seen by your glorious eyes. Not trying to be an ass but it is a stupid thing to worry that much about that you downvote it every time you see it.

If you want to paint it like that you are free to do so. I am not the first or only person to downvote it, I am just the only one to speak up when people "worried about the downvotes to much" to complain. I'll let my other post on ths subject stand for themselves and not comment further, but if you want to insert your own thoughts on why I did it you are free to do so, it just doesn't mean that is the reason or the point.

To me it goes against policy for discusting images and therefore exactly what is being asked to be downvoted. There is a bit of subjectivity in this whole thing, maybe it should be more clear. I come here for Buckeye football, I get something else. It's off topic and discusting to objectify women... and childish. High schoolers post barely dressed and provocative pictures on women and drool over them.

What you call childish, I call standing up for not being 12 year childish perv. I did something VERY minor, a single downvote (not even the first). Again, reference the Wilson thread for more converstaion on this, good day.

How is that, in any way, disgusting, or as you say "discusting." It is not profane either so there. You could have just as easily ignored it. There is nothing wrong with a college kid posting pictures of an attractive woman. Someone needs to grow up and stop acting like they gross you out. Even if you are a germophobe doesn't mean you downvote a picture of other people. I am also not "objectifying women." If a woman like Ms. Carey didn't want to be looked at she would not be wearing skin-tight clothes and revealing clothes during her photoshoots and concerts. I have a fiancee so don't even start with me about "objectifying women" and worry about the Buckeye football you come here for. Good day, sir....I SAID GOOD DAY!

My point exactly. I could possibly handle being top 4 but 6th out of 8 and behind TAMU? Uncalled for and we need to show a little more pride coming out of the 6th undefeated season in school history

Not a picture but I have this link added to my favorites and watch it at least once a week. Between this and him standing at the 50 yard line when the game ended and challenging every one of the Michigan players to come at him as they ran to their locker room, I'd say Mr. Hyde is a bad ass.

Once it is announced that the rep for TA&M is either their senior wr or ol (can't think of either of their names) people probably wont vote for them as much because they thought it would be Manziel.

I was correct, Oregon's...sorry, University of Nike's rep is Barner. I have no idea who it will be for TAMU, probably the WR.

I wish they would let you Pre-Order your game with your choice of who's on the cover. I'd actually go and reserve a game for the first time in years just so I could have John Simon on the cover of the case and the disc.

That would be an interesting way of doing it! Have a few covers and allow people to preorder who they want. I'm sure they could sell them for a higher price more than what it would cost to have a few more covers. Maybe even a few "special" cover releases in limited quantity. It seems like the cover is just as exciting as the game (same with Madden).

I agree. Almost like Madden when Bret Favre was on the cover. In the original, he was in his Green Bay uni, but since he got traded to the Jets they offerred a way to download the cover with him in their uniform. They could just do something like this as well. I know for last years game someone made this for the cover:

Nice thing about systems now, what you get on the DVD or cartridge is not what you are limited to now. Nice business model for game systems. I don't play, but from the business side it is a nice way to make some money.

I am a bit behind on this but the representatives for TAMU and Notre Dame are Ryan Swope and Tyler Eifert, respectively. We need to get out and vote as much as possible. We are down by about 30k votes to Alabama and tsun. Not to mention about 20k or so behind TAMU. Tell all Buckeyes you know to vote. We have never had an athlete on the cover and who would be better than to get John Simon on the cover! He has been the heart and soul of this team for the past two seasons so lets show him how much he means to Buckeye Nation!
