- Loved Lisle, should see him rise:
"Another Buckeyes commit, Evan Lisle, could be the most overlooked talented tackle prospect in the country. I’m not saying he’s a five-star or even top 50, but he’s got a lot of upside and is extremely solid."
- Hill going down, bad feedback from coaches and not much out of his Senior season

Not sure how Hill could get bad feedback from coaches considering he was injured...
Guy in the thread noted that. Would be nice fo someone to say "So that means Shane Morris goes to a 3-star then right? Cuz he looked awful!"
The coaching preparation for that game was horrendous. Every QB looked awful. Much more enjoyable to watch the Army AA game. If I'm a top QB recruit next year, I pick the Army game.
Nothing could have helped Morris. He is a product of hype and having the ability from a family financial standpoint to go to all the camps throughout the summer. Most kids cannot do it.
I've watched a lot of Shane Morris film on youtube, and I feel like there has to be something there (in game-action) that I'm not seeing. I keep hearing how strong his arm is, but in both highlight film and in the UA game I wasn't impressed at all by his arm strength or accuracy.
Penn State's Christian Hackenberg, though? That's a guy who I think deserves the hype. Has everything you want out of a pro-style QB imo. Arm-strength, accuracy, enough mobility in the pocket to keep the play alive until his WRs get open; I don't fear anyone OSU will be playing against in the next few years, but in my eyes Hackenberg has much more potential than Morris.
too bad Hackenburg will have nobody to throw to...
Shane Morris needs to improve his feet and awareness. He has the arm talent to be great but his field awareness, pocket awareness, and feet need to improve.
Hackenburg looked stinking sweet back there. Great awareness, made things happen. I was impressed.
Hackenburg looked good, and Max Browne looked really good in the Army game, especially after getting hit on many occasions. By the end of his reps, he was moving the pocket and picking apart the defense. If they would have left him in, his team would have scored again, IMO.
^^^^^^^^^ Now that is Funny, True, but funny
I'm not sure how you can place much stock in a bare bones offense that only had a week to practice. I don't think anyone on offense really looked that great personally but thats just my opinion.
Also considering many of those players hadnt played in more than a month, some hadnt played in nearly two months if their teams were eliminated earily in their high school playoffs. First rounds of the Ohio playoffs was first week of Nov.

While that may be true, Shane Morris has always been very hot or very cold. He'd win a game or two in 7on7 and totally bomb out the next few games. Get an honor for one day and then bomb the next. He is too hot and cold to be a 5star IMO. Hackenburg was killing it, he's the real deal. Morris didn't show any pocket awareness, mobility, accuracy, decision making, etc. nothing... He rarely does. Even without mono, he impresses then doesn't. At minimum he should move out of 5star to 4star to reflect that.
247 noted that Morris will likely drop as well. Don't have an account, but wanted to ask about Hill whether his rating will drop or just his ranking because those are different. If they raise other kids rating and he drops in ranking that is fine. But if they lower his rating because of injury then that doesn't make sense.
Anyone have an account to post?
I'd guess he'll stay a 4 star, but drop one or two points on his rating. The scouts say he underperformed in his senior year, and the injury can't help. I didn't get to see any of his senior season, so I'll take the analysts' words. This staff will develop this kid, I'm not worried
Its a lot like the senior bowl, the week of practice and the exposure during that time means more than the actual game.
Not suprised Hills stock might drop with his injury. It also seemed like he was double and triple teamed all year so his stats weren't the best. I'm excited to see what vrabel does with him
If hill warrants double and triple teams at OSU i don't care if he gets a single tackle ;)
Shane Morris is Michigan's Justin Zwick.
Let's just hope that they don't also have a Troy Smith hiding as an athlete in their recruiting class.
Moris did have one beautiful pass to Treadwell for a TD but, it got knocked out of Treadwell's hands at the last second. I noticed he targeted Treadwell a lot during the game. I don't know if that was by design or Shane was trying to woo him to ttup.
Not much talk in this thread about how impressive Evan Lisle was. Although he seemed a little awkward at times on pass protection, he moved really well run blocking. It seemed like any time the east squad made a positive run they were running behind Lisle. I know many have been concerned about OT in this year's recruiting class, particularly as michigan seems to be loading up on the O-Line, but though they might have us in numbers, I wouldn't be surprised if Lisle turns out to be the best of the bunch.
I expect him to get a big bump, my guess is around 75 overall ranking and a 95 rating.
They implied that he had a shot at top 50, so I'd think that he'd be no lower than 100. At the very least, it'ss shut up the UM fans that take pleasure that we have "scraps" at OL
I agree! Not scraps for sure, but we did strike out on some top talent.
Scraps, eh? Lisle played well. As for Gardner, I have a gut feeling that he will surprise a lot of people. I will be curious if any DL commits end up on OL. I thought Munger looked pretty good on the OL.
Yeah after seeing Shane Morris play I now understand why their loading up the O-line. He needs all the help he can get.
And for all the loading up they did on the o-line, Dawson is the only one who impresses me.

Yes.
Logan Tuley-Tillman, for all the talk and notoriety he's received, got lit up in every single matchup I saw of him from the practice sessions. And I'm not exaggerating. Every. Single. One.
