Just wanted to get everyone's opinion on the final rankings for Scout. Gene I know you already had a link and snippet in your Quick Bits today but I felt like it deserved a thread of its own.

OSU - 3 Five stars, 14 Four stars, 4 Three stars and 6 in the Top 100. 8 in the top 125.
BTW = Vonn Bell ranked a Five star and the 25th best overall
Thoughts?

This is already in Buckshots.
My bad if that is the case.
No biggie...just letting you know.
Really? A downvote for simply pointing out there was already a thread? Some ppl really love to downvote ofr no reason.
You know it wasn't me, since I do not have the ability to vote yet. BuckShots - did I miss something.
Oh I know it wasn't you. Welcome to the site.

The down voting has become ridiculous...more so just in the last couple of months.

Just in the last few months? We've only been able to vote for a few months period.

Why are Eli Apple's rankings so varied #6 ESPN, #111 Scout, #28 Rivals, #55 247Sports?
Wonder if ESPN, Rivals or 247 have updated their final rankings? I thought last year a few recruiting services updated their rankings after Signing Day.
Looking at Rivals rankings it says they last updated their rankings 12/2, so they'll most likely be coming out with their final rankings soon.
In recent years I've actually liked ESPNs rankings the best, and now that they do a ESPN300 even better. I just feel like Scout isn't shy about handing out 5*s and usually the years I get most excited about guys are highly ranked on scout and they a lot don't pan out... But it all varies. Braxton was like the 50th ranked player on ESPN, one of the tops on Scout and in the 30s or something on Rivals if I remember right..
ESPN probably is the best and has more eyes/sources on all the players...but it was funny you said they are pretty much the best then noted how they were the least accurate on Braxton. :)

Haha well they did have him as the 4th best QB and best DT, but ranked 80th overall. Kind of hard to rank and compare a QB with a LB, DL, OL etc. But yes, I form my own judgements after watching films on players and I was w/ scout on Braxton. But overall, I think ESPNs have been the most accurate and fair in recent years. But I still check every other site as well.
Do we really care? Think about it, the kid is in the top 100 +/- of 500,000 (making that up) high school football players. If he's 38th or 111th or #1 it doesn't really matter to me.
Back in the olden days there used to be mag that did the superprep 500 best players in the country. A good friend of mine was in it. it was a one shot deal when the mag came out, now it changes weekly.
In the offseason... this is what matters. If you can find something more exciting to chat about please post it :) haha...
Good point, it's only day 2 of detox.
i feel like all the sites are selling a 1 joey bosa short.
mark may wins douchebag of the year... again
why did Eli get dropped and Shane stayed up high? I don't see that... Not that it matters, just somewhat curious..
