So Braxton Miller, Teddy Bridgewater, and Johnny Manziel all came out of high school the same year. My questions: Put these guys in order of who you'd most like to have leading the Buckeyes...
I see Braxton as the best runner of the 3 but worst thrower, Teddy as the best thrower of the 3 but worst runner, and Manziel as the intermediate in both categories. Thoughts?

I love Brax, but he leaves something to be desired throwing the football. I think he will improve leaps and bounds with the offseason tutoring of Whitfield, but Johnny Football would be tough to pass up, knowing what we know now.
Then again, there is the POTENTIAL that Braxton might put together one of the best college seasons ever within the next year or two.
I'm sticking with Braxton in Urban's Offense! Heisman 2013.
Braxton because he has more arm strength than Manziel. I also take Braxton because he is the better runner out of him and Bridgewater. I think Braxton's ceiling is a lot higher than both because he is still improving his craft. With those they really don't have much more ceiling to grow other than the mental aspect of the game such as reading coverages and understanding schemes better.
Great topic! I've been talking about this with friends since last night. This reminds me of being a kid and having the conversation with your friends "Pick between a Ferrari, a Lambo or a Porsche".
I love Braxton and he is clutch but:
Teddy
Braxton
Johnny
Edit: Gholson
Yes somehow have the heisman winner as 3rd.
I say Braxton Miller, why, because he won all of his games this year. He has the potential to be the BEST ever QB at tOSU and you have got to love that.
I do love that.
Manziel
Bridgewater
Braxton
All three are studs but Manziel was the flippin Heisman and Bridgewater is a superior passer than the other two. This really is a 1\1a\1b type thing as you can't go wrong with either but Maziel is more dynamic while Teddy is smoother throwing the football.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off

Also something to keep in mind is Everett Golson of Notre Dame and Marcus Mariota of Oregon are also in this class of quarterbacks (they are both RS freshmen along with Manziel). The future is bright in college football with all these young guns in charge of very good teams
How do you pick against the redshirt freshman Heisman winner? Manziel > Miller > Bridgewater
Teddy is a better thrower than Braxton, however, Braxton just wins. I love having Braxton and can hardly wait to see the progression from Nov '12 to January '14 and the hardware that follows.
Wins.
TB is 11-2 with a Sugar Bowl win
Braxton is 12-0
JFB is 10-2 with a chance to win the Cotton.
With props to Kenny G ~ 26-0
wouldwill be an awesome 2 year run!I'll stick with Brax.Gotta believe his passing improves in the off-season with tutorials of Whitfield and Tebow.Urbs said he was gonna try to get Tebow in to help Brax run the offense more efficiently and since Tebow knows all the ins and outs of the system, would be great advantage to pick his brain and work with Tebow.Take Manziel #2 and Bridgewater #3.
SCOTTC.
I cringed when I first read this.. "Gotta believe his passing improves in the off-season with tutorials of Whitfield and Tebow." The infamous jump throw came to mind, and then I read the rest of your post.
I'll take the guy that went undefeated this year.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Braxton. Braxton
And Braxton.
.
That's a great point
Yes, and you seem to be lacking one. :)
I take Braxton in a heartbeat. I think he has the biggest upside out of all 3, and the fact that he led his team to an undefeated season this year (the first year he's had to work with a real QB coach) is incredible.
Braxton has arm strength and athleticism that the other two do not, and you can't teach it. Once Brax works on being more comfortable with his reads and being a little more consistent with his mechanics then he's a monster. I also like that Braxton only has 10 ints over his two seasons which is better than the other two. Now that's in part a result of fewer attempts but I'm still impressed.
I'm not sure about the most upside. Teddy Bridgewater will definitely be an NFL QB. Manziel most likely won't because he is just way too small and not really skilled at anything special, just a really good college QB. Braxton is being projected more as a RB and really doesn't have ideal QB size for the NFL. Now being a prototype doesn't mean they won't succeed, but Bridgewater has the most upside of them all because he is a prototype and also huge potential.
been looking at some 2014 mock drafts. even though it is way too early, most have Teddy in the top 3. Some of Braxton in top 10. Will definitely change but what Teddy possesses is unreal.
Plus Teddy is so cool under pressure. That guy has no pulse at all, I swear it! Braxton makes plays but he is a lot more hectic on the field.
Perfect description. Its not entirely a bad thing because when stuff breaks down, Miller and Manziel are second to only each other when it comes to making plays when the poop hits the metal spinny thing. Bridgewater is a smooth, efficient operator and is a pretty athletic dude. The throwers that can move are usually going to be picked higher than runners who can throw. Miller can (and I think will) progress and Manziel really has some Jeff Garcia in him but Teddy appears to be a forgonne conclusion as a top 5 pick, assuming he continues to improve on his accuracy (Which is already pretty damn good).

As far as college player, I think Manziel has the title so far but Teddy is a hell of a thrower. Best potential in the NFL, by far Teddy. He is just such a great passer.
I love Braxton and think he fits the Urban system the best but at the moment he is lacking in what both Manziel and Teddy have, true dual threat. He just isn't that great of a passer and I don't know if he ever will be because he is so dynamic of a runner. With Manziel and Bridgewater, they think throw the ball and if nothing looks good enough, make a run for it. Braxton thinks I can dodge all these guys so why do I need to throw!
I think the scouts had it right n braxton is best dt in that class.

stark county football
1) Mariota
2) Braxton
3) Bridgewater
4) Manziel
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
I like where you went but every QB Oregon has had has been awesome and never did anything after, Nixon, the guy at Ole Miss and Darron Thomas.
My point - I think he is a product of an awesome system.
I'll stick with Brax360, but with that being said I also have to admit that he gives me the most heart attacks of any QB I've ever watched. I know he gets banged up out there but those extra seconds he takes before he gets up after a run or the number of times we had trainers out on the field this year for him stressed me the heck out. Here is hoping for a healthy 2013 campaign.
Well Braxton has BY FAR the best backup in Kenny G So I'll take the Braxton/Kenny G combo. But individually I'd say bridgewater, braxton, manziel
Have to stay with Braxton. Bridgewater is nice though.
Bold statement :
Manziel is very playground ballish. Heisman yes, but look at contenders. Braxton looks Playgroundish at times throwing, but Manziel does at both. Very Hectic.
Bridgewater is like a guy with two left feet in the pocket, with a very accurate RPG for an arm.
Braxton grows into a man this year. Comes full circle with abilities.
Anyone else want a redo on this? I had Johnny 3rd, I had watched him vs. Bam a and once early in the season.
He would be my #1. Again they are all awesome, but he was nasty last night.
Manziel aka Johnny Football
Teddy B
Brax360
As I love Braxton...let's face it...he's not as good as these other two. I saw a pass on a in route that Teddy B threw against Fl between "three" defenders and I said to my wife beside me, "Braxton doesn't have that kind of awareness and anticipation throwing the ball." Of course she had no clue what I meant and later I found myself looking up the facts about all three of these guys (since they are all in the same year of eligibility). Interesting how they all will be highly rated QBs going into the season...even more interesting is how all three of their seasons will end next year too.

When you say rank how good they are you can make a case for any of them. When you ask which one I would want leading the Buckeyes it's Braxton all the way.
Bridgewater. With the stable of RBs we have we dont need our QB to carry the ball much. Plus safeties would have to respect our passing game more than they do now, which would clear things up a bunch between the tackles for Hyde/Smith/Dunn.
