I was reading ESPN insiders and they said that if Kelly should leave, one of the four names that would be considered for the position would be Charlie Strong. It would be ideal if Kelly left ND causing Jaylon Smith to switch to the good guys and Charlie Strong took the job at ND and Quick switched to us as well. Alex says there are 3-4 spots left and you take those two and possibly Vonn Bell. Who knows. Anyone else you'd want from either ND or Louisville if this were to happen?

Redfield, and Smith. That's about it. I'm fine with having Gibson instead of Quick.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Wow, there's alot of "ifs" there... call me a skeptic, but I doubt any of that happens. I actually think Smith would be a HUGE flip and I would be ecstatic.
Redfield and Smith would be unbelievable gets. I also hope that we don't get a Corey Smith switch or a Corn Elder commit before this hypothetical situation should occur. Sounds like a lock that Gibson will leave this weekend a Buckeye.
If your hypothetical situation were to occur, with or without Quick, this would be one of the most legendary recruiting classes of all-time.
Paul Myerberg of USA Today Sports provided four names that may be legitimate possibilities if Kelly were to depart. Louisville's Charlie Strong, Northwestern's Pat Fitzgerald, Oklahoma's Bob Stoops and Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Tom Clements were on the short list. The three college coaches are three that appear entrenched in their current position, but Clements has strong ties to the program. Notre Dame is Clements alma mater. He could be the top candidate out of the gate if, again, Kelly were to leave.
I find it extremely hard to believe that Fitz would leave NW. Who knows though. After this year, breaking their bowl curse, it might not get any better. I doubt they'll be competing for a B1G title with UFM in town, and considering what he's done there with what he is even able to get, could you imagine him coaching 4* and 5* recruits? Yikes.
If we were Texas A&M we could fit in at least ten more commits from ND/Lou
