Only one UF player stays to sing alma mater with band?

As a someone who is proud of the tradition started by Coach Tressel, I couldn't imagine if only one player remained to sing Carmen Ohio with the band.

This is truely embrassing for the school as a whole. Win or lose you should sing your alma mater and be greatful for the opportunity to be there and represent your school which is an extention of who you are! Even when we went to Purdue in 2011 and lost our players stayed. I'm a buckeye win or lose!

I didn't know about this. Disappoints me that it happened and surprises me that it occured last year when the team had a "us against the world" mentality. Would have thought that they would have came together after their last game...

I dont think that mentality carried us to far during that year. They seemed pretty lethargic in that bowl game and, sadly, this doesnt surprise me. The team seemed to have suffered from a lack of coaching and didnt seem to cohesive. Fickel wasnt ready to be a HC, though im sure as buckeyes we all appreciate his effort.

Clearly, no such problem this year with Urban at the helm. Better days are certainly ahead.

To be fair, the article states that the tradition is that the team stays to sing the Florida Alma Mater after wins.

I couldn't believe the critism the kid took for staying behind to sing his alma mater. Almost every post in that article was badmouthing someone. Why can't people just leave OSU or Urban out of their conversations? And I thought it was just the players were arrogant pieces of cow dung. Now I see where they get their attitude.

I don't know about anyone else but I'm glad S. Floyd didn't come to OSU. I wanted him to be a buckeye BAD at the time but sure glad he went to Florida.
