Some folks on the Clemson boards are saying we will play Clemson in the 2017 Kickoff Classic? Can staff or anyone confirm? Is this old news (I hadn't heard it)?

Came out just a bit ago. We will play them in Nashville, TN
Definitely be making a trip to that game, awesome city!
I guess that's good, right? May help with our recruiting footprint.
It's Gene Smith's strengthing of the schedules
Thanks, Nick. I wonder who DeShaun Watson will be playing for, assuming he doesn't declare early for the draft.
Like this matchup....we also have Oklahoma and @ UNC that year. A little more difficult than our usual MAC scheduling
Not more difficult than USC, Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon.
This is exciting. It will be a lot of fun to have three interesting OOC games to watch rather than the usual one.
And that really needs to become the exception rather than the rule...
Can anyone find independent verification of this? Thus far I've only seen it here and on a 247 message board...
I can confirm based on the 5 sources I have residing in Gene Smith's completely vacant brain cavity.
I have one rule in college football betting, and that is never take Notre Dame, FSU, or Clemson in big games. I love the Bucks chances because for some reason the media thinks all 3 of those teams are elite. A W vs Clemson looks a lot better than it actually is, I love this matchup.
Don't give up... Don't ever give up.
Love to see this!! Bring them all on!! Would love it even more if we played some of these SEC powers as well!!
SCOTTC.
Still not sure if this is a legit rumor or not. I haven't seen any independent verification or an official announcement.
If the game does take place, here's hoping Urban doesn't pull a Woody a la 1978!
I don't think chad morris Will still be the oc then, he Will have his own program. He was actually urbans first choice for oc
This has the smell of "unconfirmed rumor" all over it... Haven't seen the first "legit" media-type or analyst touch this today, just chatter on various Tigers/Buckeyes fan boards and such. I'm not holding my breath this is actually going to happen.
I think that the playoff system and the selection committee will really encourage teams to actually schedule some good teams ooc, will be really fun to see how cfb evolves over the next decade.
I hope this is true; wish we could get something like that scheduled for next year. We have a serious strength of schedule issue next year.
NOT. GONNA. HAPPEN. EVER!
MY BUTT'S SO BIG, I SPLIT MY PJ BOTTOMS
Why? We have already scheduled Texas and Oregon for the future, and we have Oklahoma and North Carolina for 2017.
All I'm finding is it as a "rumor" so I'm not sold on this until I see it on TV as an agreement or on OSU official site. Not saying it won't ever happen...but it seems like a rumor at this point. First I've heard of it was today....and I don't think they do Kick Off Classics that far in advance....
