Just saw that @RowlandRIVALS posted that Clemson has offered 2013 QB Asiantii Woulard. I wonder if this possibly helps sway Deshaun Watson to the Buckeyes.

Only if he were to commit and with Watsons talent, I'm sure he not afraid of any competition. With only 3 weeks until signing day there's a lot of selling to do in a short time frame

Wonder if it's more of an indication of how they feel about Watson's chances of staying committed to Clemson. I mean, if they're getting static that he might by cozying up to Urbz Almighty, then why wouldn't they offer Woulard?
Read my mind Hodge, but either way, has to be good for us.
This screams recruit poaching insurance for if/when they lose watson.
All the games of the season are just practices for that glorious saturday in November when we get to jack Shoelace's invisible cereal bowl and drink our fill of delicious skunkweasel tears ...Michigan Still Sucks!!
All that and they're probably looking for more depth at the QB position since they'll lose Boyd after this year. Just like the Bucks have got Barrett in this class and still want Watson next season. Also sounds like that Woulard guy could switch positions to maybe WR as well.
Woulard is near a committment to UK right now.
Wow. That would be a great pickup for Stoops, although it's been interesting to see Woulard's recruitment after he blew up in camps; it has not been as heated as you would have thought. UK is on a nice little run right now.
His Clemson official is this weekend now. I think they have a great shot at him. UK's new coach may have a lot of momentum, but Dabo is a great recruiter, and Clemson keeps pulling interest from top guys. It's no coincidence.
Can't hurt!
I think offering Woulard is possibly covering 2 areas... They're probably somewhat concerned about OSU working so hard on Watson. They could also be filling a need because Boyd is leaving after next year. This would give Woulard a chance to learn the system and refine his game for a year. If I am correct, Woulard has only been playing QB for a couple of years.
Like Steensn said it can't hurt. But let's be realistic, we have Barrett in this class and is a likely redshirt, so he would be in Watson's class then. I hope we get Watson, but this is unlikely to move the needle a lot.
I believe Barrett is 100% a redshirt. He even stated during his recruitment that he was willing to redshirt. With Kenny G and Jones behind Braxton I see no reason Barrett should ever see the field next year. He needs time to rehab his knee and learn the system. He might be the next QB for OSU, but from what I've read Cardale Jones could turn out to be a stud.
Barrett is recovering from a torn ACL suffered during his Senior year....with a 1 year rehab, he probably will not be ready till middle of this season, and there is no way they will burn a year of eligibility for a 4th team QB to take a few snaps.
This can't hurt our chances....
