Mitchell is IN. All Buckeye.
Still getting conflicting reports on Quick. Won't be shocked either way and neither staff has been notified as of this moment.

WOOOOOOO WE HAVE LINEBACKERS
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
happy with Mitchell... again, if Quick goes UL, not too bothered as we have some great targets still out there...and the way Marshall played tonight, I think he will develop into the type of threat we are hoping for...
Thanks Alex should be fun watching tomorrow. Looking forward to any updates you got on Bell as well.
So take nothing from the reports we've heard about the coaching staff being notified about Quick being in? Had my hopes up for a minute, just have to wait till tomorrow I guess. Thanks Alex!
QuadrupleZ
Thanks Alex. In my opinion Mitchell is the most important at this point, so this is great news. Let's just hope Quick can make the right choice. He is definitely a special talent.
agreed...need Mitchell, want Quick.
But let's also say this is both because of immediate NEED and the lack of other great linebacking targets. Sure we have Hearns set up for a visit, but he's not as a sure thing as say Timmons or Gibson or even Elder.
Quick and Mitchell both have the same potential to be impact players next year on any team.
indeed...also, Mitchell and Johnson are studs...cant go wrong having these types of players in your recruiting class
GREAT news. Johnson and Mitchell will be stud LBs for us.
Would love to get Quick but if we can't still got Gibson, Elder and Wilson to look out for!
Exciting time to be a Buckeye!
Quick is a Card imho...hope to be wrong.
Nevertheless, very happy about Johnson tonight and the impending Mitchell announcement. Urban is the man!

Of course we all want Quick and Gibson, but I think Gibson and Wilson/Elder/Timmons would be pretty darn good too. If we don't get Bell, we could take 2 of those 3 with Gibson if Quick chooses Louisville
We're getting Bell trust me!
Because they wouldn't let me go for 3!

I trust you. Please be right!
Champions Bleed Scarlet & Gray
Reeeeally hoping we get Bell after witnessing his performance in the UAAAG. He seemed to be in on every play, had pretty tight coverage, and contested a lot of throws.
I'll hold you accountable, if we don't.....
jk
great news, another linebacker. quick would be great too, but if not him, gibson, timmons, elder, one of those kids would be awesome too. need bell too.
A finish of quick/gibson, mitchell, bell, worley would finish the most talented class top to bottom I've seen the Bucks bring in since I started following recruiting. Playmakers throughout the list.
Its scary if they get Bell and Mitchell on D. Offensively just nothing but playmakers
As always, thank you Alex and the rest of the 11W staff for your efforts. As for Quick, I wouldn't be surprised if he is as conflicted as his actions - maybe he knows where he's going and has for awhile, but the vibe I get is that he is genuinely torn. Not expecting it but also wouldn't be completely surprised if he delays his announcement, though it seems like he wants to get it over with. I read the OSU coaching staff tweets earlier as one last chance to get in his ear, to go with the prospect of longer-term stability versus the "flash" at Louisville...or I could be entirely wrong. Regardless, if he goes to Louisville it won't be for lack of effort by Urban and Co.
Ok so I thought Quick was a buckeye because I was hearing alot of positive buzz now Steve Wiltfong from 247 is calling him to Louisville and I just read a tweet of a guy saying that scout is reporting he phoned the staff just recently.
whoever he commits to, i could def see this going all the way into nloi day
mark may wins douchebag of the year... again
I want Quick.
He is very close to at least one of the Louisville players and has been consulting him during the decision-making process. They spoke within the last 24 hours as Quick made his final decision, but obviously only those closest to Quick are positive of the decision.
My gut says we lose out on this one, but I am hoping that Quick's conversation with the Lousiville player was intended to break the "bad" news to him that he wouldn't be joining him at UofL. We shall see.
Awesome
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. Worst being losing out on Quick and settling on Gibson, Elder, or Timmons. Not a bad worst at all! Mitchell is the dude we had to have, and we will have him.
Thanks as always, Alex! I'd love for Quick to choose the good guys, but it's hard for me to get too upset about a local kid choosing to stay home -- and even more so when he is valuing hometown loyalty over a better program. I know that I'd be torn in that situation.
Also, I want to give some props to Alex. He's been assuring us for like six months, through all the ups and downs, that Mitchell would be coming. That was some amazing work!
I'm withholding my opinion on quick til i see him play vs some d1 players...just not very impressed from video I've seen. Now Marshall and Gibson are explosive.
JOHNSON BELL can be first Rounders and it looks like a big ten allstar d Urban is building.
I'm not sure what you don't see. He's got great acceleration and high-ish end speed, plus he plays the best competition in the country at Trinity, much like Bosa at STA. The one thing about Quick and Gibson that surprise me are their physicality.
He is more of a possession wr. From what I've seen. A good one but i don't get why he is a must get with all the firepower coming in that's all.
This is what I have been thinking the past couple of days as well.
And it for sure isn't sour grapes because we might not get him, I started feeling this way when everyone was saying he's OSU bound.
I just like Gibson better at this point. He's a bigger verticle threat and that's more of a need right now.
If you think about it, we don't even need a longball threat. We already have Taivon Jacobs, who is VERY fast, and Jalin Marshall showed yesterday he could become that type of player.
F--- Michigan!
Watch Jacobs' highlights. Now slap a Scarlet & Gray #7 on him. I can't tell a difference. He looks eerily similar.
Drew, we can always use another longball threat.

WR is an area of concern that we need more playmakers. How many times did we see a WR drop a ball after hitting him in the hands? We need people with seperation, but also the ability to make people miss. Philly had the one TD reception, other than that, i can't remember the last time i saw a WR make something out of nothing.
this problem has been at OSU since 2007, IMO. Sanzenbacher was a stud, running good enough routes to get open, but a playmaker WR, hasn't been in Scarlet and Grey since Holmes and Ginn.
I agree, but am less worried after watching Jalin last night. He is a stud, and was one of the better players on the field of All Americans.
Thanks Alex...I'm hoping Quick chooses OSU. I think UFM and CO will get their WR...I hope;-)

Quick going to pull a Prior. More publicity ! Get on TV today and then another time later on. We all remember how that one turned out LOL.
Just kidding, hope he turns Buckeye way, but you gotta admit Louisville showed well the other night. Bridgewater is pretty good, but I would still take Brax !
Great job 11 Warrior beasts. I'm addicted to this sight.
P.S. Thought Wilson showed lightning speed last night, maybe a chance he comes too. My scarlet and gray blood is pumping
To a certain extent I am happier not knowing where Quick is going. Don't get me wrong I hope he is a Buckeye at the end of the day but this makes it more exciting.
Really amazing to think that 6 months ago we lost Anzalone and Neal in a very short span. Now we are going to get two even better LBs in a two day span.
There are still a lot of skill position players out there still but very few LBs. Getting Mitchell and Johnson is huge this weekend.
And BTW who's the negative Nancy that voted for no Mitchell and Quick after Alex said Mitchell was a done deal?
Been a Buckeye fan a long time and I don't remember having this many highly touted playmakers on D come in (as these 1st two classes Urban's bringing in)... You never know how they'll pan out but it looks like they could form an amazing D.

I'm hearing Quick to Louisville.
Since its just a RUMOR and i dont want to get flamed, I wont give all the details but the rumor is that Strong called all the other coaches and told them that Quick called him and gave his committment.
I hope its bullshit and just a rumor, but who knows. Either way it will be over soon.
I'm sure this has been discussed before, but how do Johnson and Mitchell compare Anzalone as prospects?
I think its going to be very tough for us to draw Quick away from Louisville after Strong stayed put, and then Louisville's curb-stomping of the Gators in a BCS bowl game. Hope I'm wrong, tho.
I'm not sure but I do wish we would have been able to hold on to Anzalone and keep the two new recruits. LB would be sick.
Timmons!
