To have to admit that Alabama is the much better team and to think his team could be playing for a title. Gotta be hard to be objective and also watch this game and actually have to try and be insightful. God I love our coach! Can't wait till the OSU ends the SEC reign...

Urban is just as blunt during the halftime show as he is discussing OSU games. I actually think Desmond is tolerable. Will wonders never cease, Mr. Howard.
Hurts him worse to sit beside Desmond. The guy that belittles OSU and promotes scUM in the same sentence whenever possible. Doesn't look to happy when he has to listen to him speak either.

I thought it was funny he picked Notre Dame at the begining. He doesn't like Saban and it's obvious. No one could of honestly looked at this game and thought Notre Dame had a prayer. The only close games Bama had were A&M and Georgia, both were significantly better than Notre Dame.
Urban is definitely going to prepare next year's team for a game with a team of Alabama's caliber. Glad we have a year to prepare.
I agree we have to get better. Need to stronger and faster. Keep recruiting and keep building.

The thing that stood out to me was Bama's depth. I think their bench could have beaten ND's 1st stringers.
With Meyer's recruiting, we're getting close. Very close to Bama, IMO.

He's doesn't like Saban but he respect him. Plus it's pains him because he knows that we have some serious work to do, if we are going to take down the big bad SEC!

He'd better respect Saban. Lots of coaches oversign. No one has demonstrated an ability to match Saban in preparation for these games. This is the second year in a row his team absolutely dominated their opponent in the championship game from the opening bell. No rust, apparently no jitters. Just an efficient machine. That's scary. I hope Urbz can match it if he faces Saban in one of these.
Urban is the one coach who can match Saban if you ask me. He's beat Saban in a game where the winner goes to the BCS title game and he's lost a game to Saban in a similar situation too. I absolutely believe Urban can go toe to toe with Saban though. May not win every time, but with the new playoff coming up these two may get quite a post season rivalry going because they'll both consistently be in the top 4.
Did anyone notice pre-game in the tunnel when the ND players were behind security, waiting for the Bama players to run right by them?
The ND players all had the "deer-in-the-headlight" look. They were silent. Not yelling at the Bama players or nothing. The Bama players, in a relaxed fashion, just jogged confidently right by the ND players and stared them down. Just like when Rocky got stared down and flinched, and then got his assed kicked by Clubber Lang in Rocky III.
This game was over before it started, right there in the tunnel. You could see it in their eyes. It was like leading the Christians to the lions in the Roman Coliseum(sadly).

I love how it was alabama and notre dame's big recruiting nights, and urban meyer was right in the middle of them reppin ohio state on national television with all the recruits watching...not going to be shut out on such a big stage...what a promoter Urban Meyer is !!!
I agree. I found that funny. He always finds a way to be on center stage. Kids see that exposure and want to be a part of it. Brilliant if u ask me. Might help us land Bell

Annnnd yet another reason why Coach Coombs was telling the recruits that the OSU coaches measure themselves/their efforts against Alabama's coaches.
I'm glad that Urban is honest about what Bama is. We can never destroy them if we can't be honest about what they are and what they have been able to do.
