I found this pretty interesting.. According to ESPN.. Ohio State and Michigan combined has 27 recruits in the ESPN 300. The rest of the B1G combined has only 17.

What's even more interesting is we're currently sitting at 13 ESPN300 prospects... throw in the possible commitments of:
Gibson, Quick, Mitchell, Johnson, Bell... That would be 18 alone we're getting in the top 300. Throw in Elder or Timmons, there's another.
Also we get those guys we'll end up w/ 12 prospects in ESPN150. Not bad for Urban's first class he's had a full year to bring in.
hopefully get a nice start tonight with Trey Johnson, then follow up with Mitchell and Quick tomorrow
That would be quite a weekend. Honestly, a weekend like that could sway someone like Bell to join. He's at the all star game, he's feeling the momentum that Buckeye football is building, and he's getting to hang out with and listen to everything other Buckeye recruits are saying.
definitely think that Bell would notice 3 studs joining the class... I think we land Johnson and Mitchell (99% sure), Quick is still an anomaly but I think its probably 75% OSU at this point with all of the reports... if we could end with Mitchell, Johnson, Bell, Quick, Wilson/Gibson...hell of a finish IMO and could lead to an even bigger start next year
Honestly, I'm surprised it's not even more lopsided. The rest of the Big Ten's in for a total buzzsaw in the coming years. We're bringing in top notch players at a greater rate than every before and all those other turds in our conference have been continuing to sink further into their respective toilets.
Urban recruiting is like Marshawn Lynch playing football: BEAST MODE!

This recruiting fact proves that it in the not so distant future tB1G will be the B1G 2 again real soon (despite whomever they bring in to make it 16 teams unless it's OK or TX). As some others have said on other threads, tTUN isn't a bad place to go to school. However, OSU will always be the "best" place to go if you want to win B1G championships and have a chance for a NC (including the chances of going on the next level/NFL). I hate to say it...but tTUN better buckle down for more OSU dominance....IMO of course;-)

OSU and mich are basically the only 2 bigten teams in the top 25 recruiting rankings. Penn st is our 3rd best team considering theyre on probation they shouldnt be top 3. If the bigten wants to have Sec style competition in the league all the teams need to recruit at a much higher level. Urban changed how its done at OSU and we're one of the biggest schools around. Mich is in the arms race, the rest of the teams need to take note and ramp up the effort if its gonna be more big 2 little 10.
It's not a surprise that the two biggest names in the conference are getting the most highly ranked recruits.

I agree! It's just crazy to think that the other 10 teams together still aren't as good as just us and TTUN.
Couldn't have said it better BUCKEYEVSTHEWORLD!! Unless some of these other BIGTEN schools ramp it up,it could remain the same for quite a while!!
SCOTTC.
With Penn State getting nuked by the NCAA you can understand why they aren't in it. Nebraska is the school that is really the most disappointing.
