When asked if he was in the ear of the uncommited buckeye targets (namely Mike Mitchell and James Quick) trying to persuade them to choose Ohio State, Zeke said for sure they were talking to the guys all week trying to get them on board. I feel like this bodes very well for the Buckeyes, I mean I know Louisville won a BCS game this week, but Quick has been surrounded by stud Buckeye talent all week and they have been in his ear about coming to Columbus, that can only mean positives for Buckey Nation.
Alex reported earlier that Mitchell is essentially a lock, with Quick being 50/50 right now, I feel like having your future team mates in your ear could really push the decision in the favor of Ohio State.
This could all be wishful thinking, but I for sure think it's a great sign and will be keeping my fingers crossed today.

Agreed...I think he's in...looking at the long run...OSU provides more stability than Louisville. Not sure how long Strong will be there despite some SEC jobs opening up this year and him staying...this time.

Yea, you would sure think OSU would be more stable for his future as far as coaches staying. Please be a Buckeye Mr.Quick! But can't blame him for wanting to play for his home school.

Eli's interview with Allen Trieu from Scout offered some promise as well. When asked about James decision Eli had a grin on his face so there is hope. Funny how they didnt even bother asking about Mitchell :) but in all fairness I do believe James is the only person that definitively knows right now. Theres been too much smoke and flip-flopping from both sides insiders to believe one or the other at this point.
Not to be Debbie Downer, but I'm not sure the opinion of someone he met 5 days ago kids going to heavily influence his decision. At least I hope not. That wouldn't say much about his decision making process.

The only good thing about the Quick recruitment is he is a few days removed from the emotional high of UL beating the Gators. He now has had time to see the talent we are pulling in at tOSU and hopefully it will make an impact on his decision. At least that's my "cup half full theory" and I am sticking by it until proven wrong
If he is not an OSU commit, then what was he doing with a buckeye hat in his bag? He's gonna put it on today!
