Eddie Lacy

I haven't watched much of bama this year. Was Eddie Lacy that untackleable all year? That was one of the best running performances I've ever seen. The only way his runs were stopped were by pushing him out of bounds or tripping him. I saw him get legitimately tackled maybe 2, 3 times at most. If he played even remotely at that level all year, he should have been a heisman frontrunner, if not the heisman winner. DAMN.

When he wasn't banged up he was!! A lot of similarities between him and Richardson. Both big time backs, can catch and block out of backfield. If he's not top 10-15 pick, I'll be shocked!!

SCOTTC.

I don't know about the rest of the year, but I'm with you. He was an absolute beast last night.

You have to hate losing more than you love winning! GO BUCKS!!

Backs like Eddie Lacy make me really happy we scored Mike Mitchell, Joey Bosa, Trey Johnson, Donovan Munger etc.  We need guys who can tackle those type of running backs at first contact.  It's clear Bama has no shortage of these type of Backs....see TJ Yeldon.

The interesting part is that Te'o was supposed to be that kind of player - I think ESPN said he missed two tackles all year. I think Lacy just went Beast Mode on the entire ND defense. He's an absolute tank and he decided to show up big last night.

At one point they showed he was averaging 6.5 yards per carry on the year.  Pretty sure he had over a thousand yards on some ridiculously low number of carries.  Alabama has a glut of talent at running back.

he had 1200+ coming into the game, Yeldon had around 1000.

It doesn't hurt that he got to run behind an NFL offensive line

This guy is built like a huge tree trunk in his lower half. Good lord he is a load and when running hard would be ridiculously difficult to tackle. That size, great feet and good speed to go with it makes him a great RB. Bet DBs hate to see him coming their way.

Probably the scariest thing about Alabama (living in TN, I was subject to seeing way too many SEC football games/highlights) is that Yeldon, the freshman, is the best RB they have. And Lacy is damn good.

That O-Line was incredible too! Yeldon is a monster as well, and Dee Hart, the former UM commit could be another good one, but was injured all year.
