Did Kelly Just Say "We Can't Play Against Alabama"?

Maby not literally, but his half time remarks said it! Coach how do you change the second half? Maybe Alabama doesn't come bakc out. We're not tackling well and I don't know why, well I know why Alabama is big and strong and we suck (ok, I threw the we suck in there). Really coach? That is the best you can give us? We're watching and can see that you suck. So you have no adjustments planned or any way to try to get your team to compete? At least we get to see Urban represent. I guess there is a second half to go, but it sure sounds like Kelly has given up or is it just me?

I thought he looked like he was on Xanax. Of all the times I have seen Brian Kelly nearly explode during games, I thought his calmness at halftime was baffling.

Better yet ND is 0-4 in BCS games.... And we beat them in 06.

I think the reason why we went 12-0 was because of leadership...from the coaches and players both. Seeing ND go in the locker room at half they looked like they knew they already lost. The coaches didnt look fired up and neither did the seniors. Come on man it the NC game! Play hard, bust some mouths, dont give up. I think they jusy gave up.

They didn't give up they were just down by 28 to a superior team.

He had already made up in his mind right there that they were going to loose. You cant do that as a play and especially as the Head Coach! With that mentallity he might has well of just stayed in the locker room. Its hard to overcome being behind like that but when a head coach talks like that...its just dumb.

At least he didn't sugar coat it. What do you expect him to say " we are still in it". 28-0 at half is game over and he knew it. I know now a days nobody is a loser and ND will still get a trophy or a ribbon but can't beat honesty.
