The Colley Matrix is one of the computer rankings used in the present BCS formula. Dr. Colley's website has a 'What If' feature that allows you to add or remove games to see how they would have changed the rankings (i.e. you could add 'What if Ohio State beat Nebraska' to simulate how a conference championship game would have helped the Buckeyes). It's a lot of fun, and you can learn a lot about how important strength of schedule is.
Note: the last poll was done before any bowls were played, so you can add some of those games for fun too.
Have fun.

Sweet. Now when I argue with my buddies about 'what if' scenarios in the College Football universe, I can use some concrete data to back it up.
Instead of punches, now I can just throw my laptop at their thick heads...lol
“Right now, Michigan is not at the pinnacle of college football, and that’s all Urban Meyer cares about...He’s been there and knows what it takes to get there.”
Have you run any interesting scenarios?
Not yet, but I will soon. Been preocupied today with the Bengals and the Beer. ;)

Wow our total opponents record was 71-76 haha. Let's just hope that number improves greatly next year as we make the run to the NC game.
Participation in the conference championship game (against a 10-2 Nebraska) would have bumped us up 81-78, which is comprable to Alabama whose opponents were 80-77.
Also keep in mind that includes 12 losses directly as a result of playing the buckeyes. Take those out and it's a respectable 71-64
Good points, I suppose I didn't even think of that. But still with a year like this one, it'll be nice to ensure our strength of schedule is good enough next year that no matter what, if we're undefeated we're going to the NC game.
