Probably long overdue for this guy to get some love on a head coaching search, but then again, he is a product of the world famous Mike Brown system. Still, lots of people here might be interested.

About time, indeed. He produces inspite of Mike Brown, that should add to his perceived value. Plus, teams were looking at Gruden last year, but not Zimmer, which still utterly astounds me.
He is reason the bengals have a great defense all I can say is its about time I will root for him wherever he goes unless he plays the bengals
I will be extremely disappointed if Zimmer leaves. He has the Bengals defense performing well enough to carry the Bengals to the playoffs in consecutive years and does it with class. You can really tell how much the players love and respect him. He more than deserves to be considered for head coaching jobs, but it will still be sad when he leaves.
I'd rather see the Browns hire a guy like Marc Trestman (Arians isn't happening), and keep Dick Jauron as the DC.
I'm all for anyone that is not going to blow up the 4-3 defense that we have. The Browns have several good players and the defense looks to be the better of the two units. Hackert did a great job at drafting DL talent, Taylor, Sheard, Winn, and Hughes. Good young players with potential to get better.
Coach Zim took a bunch of castoffs, no-name players and mid-late round draft picks and molded them in to a top 5 defense in Cincinnati. The Browns do have some talent on D and I have no doubt he could do the same with them.
And to address your concern - he runs a lot of different looks, but out of a 4-3 base.
I think he's a big reason they've been killing it in the draft lately too.
id rather the bengals hire him as head coach. marvin lewis has plateaued and we need fresh blood in there
I was hoping they would make Marvin GM and Zimmer the head coach.
But I dream
