If he makes his decision becasue of Bridgewater, in my opinion, that's a bad move on his part. Bridgewater has one more year, and then he's done, while Braxton still has 2 more years of eligibility. One other aspect is, who's the next guy up?
Who will take over for Louisville once BW is gone? We all know who's waiting in the wings in Columbus, JT Barrett, but does Louisville have that next guy? Hopefully he takes this into consideration and makes the right choice.

Sometimes questions and comments get buried in a long thread. Not really that big of a deal to start a new one.
I respectfully disagree. I mentioned the numerous Quick threads on the last quick thread (from today) and then I saw this guy get ripped for this. As I said before, it is really just a personal preference, but it just seems lazy at best, and at worst an attempt to get stickers for an "insightful thread". I suppose consistency would be nice?
You're right. I am not against creating new threads. Sometimes theads get cluttered with useless off-topic information, topics can become outdated, or you can have a different perspective that you want to make a topic.
Having said that, the topic that I copy/pasted was just created 12 hours ago, and I know that the subject matter of this OP (Bridgewater leaving) would have fit perfectly in that thread because I made a very similar comment in that thread. I don't mean any disrespect to the individual that made the thread (didn't downvote his post) and I hope he doesn't take offense to my post, just trying to avoid redundancy.

They were, they posted it during the game last night (or someone tweeted it or something). Driscoll (sp?) was like #15, Brax was #30, Bridgewater was like #99

Your premis to say Quick is better off to choose OSU over Louisville because Bridgewater has 1 year left and will have Braxton for 2 years is not only presumptuous but also makes no logical sense.

2. Why base your decision as a WR on Braxtons ability as a passing QB? Didnt Braxton rate 100 plus among QBs as a passer?
only chance we have is the belief in Meyer over the belief in Strong so I for one believe that that one game vs Florida was very relevant.
If you think one game has a "huge" impact on a kid's recruitment then you havent been following how these things work for very long. The kid playing QB for the Redskins will follow others drafting QB's with similar skillsets bc it is a copycat league. For teams that wanna go that route Bridgewater and Braxton will be the top Qb's on their boards. Following the notion that teams are always looking for an upgrade at QB + Bridgewater having another year like this one = high pick. Its logic and cyclical not rocket science. On top of this Teddy's mom has cancer which is expensive to treat so the move after his Jr. year makes even more sense.

I do not dislike Quick and WOULD want him over Timmons as a pure WR. Early on I thought for sure Quick was 95% Louisville based only on everything he was telling people in Louisville.
With all of these posts about what he is telling people this past week I DO believe it is 50/50 now and I DO believe the UL/FLA game could become a contributing factor. And yes I do believe if he chooses the Buckeyes it is because of Coach Meyer and Braxton IS NOT an influential draw for any WR until he becomes a pass first instead of a run first QB.

I was going to say. Bridgewater has the same eligibility as Braxton. If anything, would argue that with JT Barrett already coming to OSU, Quick would have a better shot. Who is coming in behind Bridgewater? IDK I do know that Bridgewater is pretty likely to leave after next year. He is already projected as a top 5 pick and the top rated QB who is draft eligible.

I think James is making this decision over many factors, not one game or one quarterback. He has gathered information for over a year now and will make a decision that will impact him for the next 3-5 years. His decision won't be one made because of a Sugar Bowl win by Louisville or an OSU win over Michigan. It will be methodically thought out and discussed with his parents, and announced on Saturday. We will bring you any info we have as we get it, but right now I'd still say 50/50 OSU-UL.

Something that I think needs to be said is that this whole week Quick has named OSU his leader. Now, while there was speculation that he might be going back and forth between OSU and UL, everything that he himself has said is OSU leads.

Okay, I can kind of understand it in situations where the post is just stating something stupid and without substance. I hesitate to say even that, for fear of giving comfort and encouragement to some of the Negative Nancies on here, who seem to have a serious case of little man syndrome (i.e. downvoting is their chance to get back at the world).
But this post isn't stupid or without substance. There are thoughts and details here I haven't seen expressed yet, even if I don't agree with them.
And if I do happen to come across another post expressing similar thoughts, big freaking deal. If I click on it and waste a minute of my life, that's my problem, not the posters.
