Are they doing maitnance on their team rankings or is it just my phone? When I view it, the rankings are all shuffled and its showing us 4 sitting at the 1 then Clemson sitting at 16 sitting at 2 and we have about a 40 point lead. I am just woundering because this makes no sense to me.

This is what I see...
I'm seeing this as well. Rivals has us 3rd to Notre Dame and Florida, and ahead of Alabama. Did Alabama have any decommits?
I think a guy flipped from them to FSU and USC lost one as well.
Clemson's ranking makes absolutely no sense.
I think the 247 ranks may be messed up due to the players enrolling early. They just added a new category for enrolled players that may be messing up the ranks. Players that were listed as "Hard Commits" have moved to "Early Enrollees" which might be confusing their computers
That still doesn't explain the drop Alabama experienced on Scout and Rivals's rankings as well. Unless they're experiencing similar problems.

5* DE flipped from bama to FSU
This is at least the fifth time I have seen their rankings messed up like this. I'm guessing it is just a site malfunction.
Bug is being worked on, they should have it licked today.
Well now its fixed and it has us at #1 still
How is Clemson ranked 3rd? Notre Dame has a way better class so does Bama I don't think it is quite fixed yet they just fixed the numbering
If you watch 247 rankings closely, they change frequently when they actually shouldn't. Most sites don't do hourly or even daily changes to their rankings. Something is screwy with their formulas and it never stays consistent. I've gotten to the point where I rarely check their rankings anymore because of it.
247's team rankings update according to both their rankings and individual player rankings on other sites. It's not screwy, it's just a composite. Due to the fact that it takes the other major sites into account, it gives the best overall view of each school and class.
I understand that. What I'm saying is that their composite class rankings change constantly...and not just every couple weeks. They change, or at least were changing, nearly every day and at least once a week they would be all sorts of warped. Player rankings, their's and other sites, don't change on a daily basis. This is likely because of a formula that is a little funky and not always getting the necessary information. Take Bosa for instance. He will change on a week to week basis from a composite 5 star recruit to a 4 star the next week and then back to a 5 star a few days after that. No one has changed their rankings that much to make him constantly jump back and forth. That's my point. Something is not quite right with their formula so it's not getting all of the necessary information so the composite score can be flawed at times.
It's because the composite rankings is a fairly new feature, and they pretty regularly push code to fix bugs and the way everything runs without shutting the site down. It makes things get weird every once and a while, most of the deviations you see are due to that.
As long as we are #1, I think their formula is perfect :D
It could also be due to individual player updates on other sites, it's hard to say.
@Buck-I.8 That is essentially my point. Maybe I wasn't getting it across the way I wanted to so thanks for the help. It's a great feature but it's not consistent enough yet to say that we can fully rely on it because each day those bugs in the code cause it to change. Once they get it figured out, it'll be a great system to use in judging class and player rankings.
It is actually not fixed yet...
