I got bored and decided to go ahead and try to predict the 2014 class. Yes I know the 2013 class isnt even finished yet, but I was bored like I said. I think we will take 17 (by my counting, it could be more) in 2014 with the class looking like this:
QB Deshaun Watson Gainsville, GA **** .9228 (Ratings according to 247 Composite)
RB Jonathan Haden Washington, DC **** .8900
WR Thaddeus Snodgrass Springfield, OH **** .9313
WR Demarre Kitt Tyrone, GA **** .9389
WR Lonnie Johnson Gary, IN *** .8800
OG Marcelys Jones Cleveland, OH **** .9635
OT Jamarco Jones Chicago, IL **** .9572
DL Anthony Moten Fort Lauderdale, FL **** .9161
ILB Raekwon McMillan Hinesville, GA **** .9818
ILB Clifton Garrett Plainfield, IL **** .9705
OLB Dante Booker Akron, OH **** .9529
OLB Kyle Berger Cleveland, OH **** .9000
CB Damon Webb Detroit, MI **** .9645
CB Jabrill Peppers Ramsey, NJ ***** .9857
S Nick Glass Atlanta, GA **** .9107
S Montae Nicholson Monroeville, PA **** .9333
ATH Marshon Lattimore Cleveland, OH **** .9749
ATH Myles Autry Norcross, GA **** .9186
Can't wait to pull this up later and see how wrong I really was.

Where is Mr. Hand at? I believe we have a better shot with him(he visited for the scum game) then some of the prospects you have listed such as Glass who is already committed to UGA
Well I think Mr. Hand is going to VT with Blanding. And for Glass and Watson, I know they are commited to Georgia and Clemson, but I see Watson flipping to us by NSD next year and I think Raekwon talks Glass to coming up here also.
We arent even in his top 5
Good list but believe we take more like 20.Don't believe we get Glass or Watson to flip either.Believe we'll take more O-linemen than 2 as well. With 2013 being thin class,we need 4-5 O-linemen if we can get them.
SCOTTC.
Yeah while I was doing this I thought to myself we should land more than 2 OL but I coundnt find alot that I had confidence with
I'll go with: 21
QB: Barker
RB: Hurd, Autry
WR: Lonnie Johnson, Snodgrass
TE: Blazevich
OL: M. Jones, J. Jones, Mustipher, Trout
ATH/DB: Lattimore, Haden
DB: Nicholson, Darius West, CJ Reavis
LB: Garrett, Booker, McMillan
DL: Moten, Hand(!), (1 more DT that hasn't been offered yet: Very few tackle offers out)
this I'm goin with the homey I.8 on this prediction
O'Deez330
stark county football
Good list, Id say take that 1 DL spot though and go with Kyle Berger
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
I think he goes to UM. Even area scouts say he plays like Jake Ryan, and he loves that.
I think theyll be are top competition, but it seems like Urban wants this guy pretty bad, I think Berger said he talks to Meyer once a week.
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
Looks very good for Berger to be a Buckeye in 2014.
No Da'Shawn Hand?
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
LOL sorry I dont see Hand coming here I think he's VT bound
Any particular reason?
No Hurd either?
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Ive just heard interviews with him and he says he loves VT's coach and they are the hometown favorite going along with the hunch of him going there and I had Haden and Autry so I didn't think we would get Hurd too. Idk just my thoughts.
Well if VT has another season like this last one, they won't have a coach.
I'm not cold hearted enough to wish someone to be fired just to get a recruit.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
I have no problem rooting against Frank Beamer
Reason?
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
College football and college football recruiting are both a zero sum competition. VT's weakness in holding their recruits is our gain. Also, his discipline over the years where he lets the stars off easy reminds me of the SEC Whores + he is an unattractive screamer during the games.
Agreed....there on the decline and if Beamer's gone then Foster will be too. Don't count out UFM fellas...I think Hands all but in. VA Tech nor UVA are going to get Hand...not if they continue down the roads they are currently as stated above.

Hands recruitment is so far from over that its impossible to say he's "all but in." He's been to campus once for The Game. Yes, he enjoyed himself, but to say he's all but in is just guessing. Nothing he has said has lead anyone to believe he's a buckeye lock. Actually heard he has claimed his best relationship is with VT staff I believe. Not to say we won't get him, but Urban will need to do ALOT of work
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
I agree it will take more "attention" but don't count out Urban (not saying you did btw). If OSU's able to do the unthinkable and go undefeated next season and win the B1G championship game, then OSU won't have to worry about doing ALOT of work. That record and accomplishment will speak for itself. I'm not saying it's set in stone with either Hand's signature nor going undefeated again. But if I were a Las Vegas odds dude....I'd be putting some solid bets on OSU next year TRIV in regards to recruiting...and winning ;-)

I don't see Watson or Hand ending up at OSU. If we wait til next fall to offer Barker I don't see him at OSU either.
I honestly think there's a very good chance that Hand will be part of the 2014 class. He'll see that this will be a very special class with so much talent, and Va Tech has become moreI of an average program.
On the OL position I think Damien Prince and KC McDermott will be a part of the class along with the Jones, and Mustiphier as either DT or OT.
I personally don't think Watson will flip especially if Chad Morris continues to be at Clemson. I just hope Barker gets offered, commits and Urban will be happy with him.
I believe the 2014 class will be around 20-22, with the following breakdown:
QB - 1-2 (Barker and if 2 are taken either Crest, Ulmer or Kizer)
RB - 2 (Hurd and Haden)
WR - 2-3 (I'll go with 3 of these guys; Johnson, Snodgrass, Kitt, Trevion Thompson, Artavis Scott)
TE - 1 (Blazevich)
OL - 4 (choose from M. Jones, Jamarco Jones, Damien Prince, KC McDermott, Mustiphier, and Kyle Trout as a last resort)
DE/DT - 2-3 (Mustiphier, Hand, Malik McDowell, couple others)
LB - 3-4 (McMillan, Garrett, Booker, Berger)
DB/S - 3-4 (Glass, Blanding, Peppers, Nicholson, Damon Webb, a couple Ohio kids)
ATH - 2 (Lattimore, Autry)
Total of 20-25
QB: Deshaun Watson OR Drew Barker
RB: Jonthan Haden
WR: Thaddeus Snodgrass
WR: Derek Kief OR Trevion Thompson OR Artavis Scott OR Shaq Davidson OR Josh Malone
OL: Jamarco Jones
OL: Damian Prince
OL: Kyle Trout
DE: Da'Shawn Hand (if we get him, sorry BIG O-Lines)
DT: Marcelys Jones
LB: Raekwon McMillain
LB: Dante Booker
LB: Clifton Garrett
CB: Jabrill Peppers
CB: Jalen Tabor
S: Laurence Jones
S: Montae Nicholson
ATH: Lonnie Johnson
ATH: Jalen Hurd (RB or H-Back)
ATH: Marshon Lattimore (WR or CB)
ATH: Myles Autry (RB or WR)
I really have no idea. I think we have a GREAT shot at all guys listed here but there are also a lot of Ohio guys that I like that were left off (Darien Watkins, Darius West, Kyle Berger, Nick Richardson, Verdontae Wilkonson).
I like the list but I would add a couple more OL to the mix for sure. I think Urban will put a heavy emphasis on that next year as we'll lose 4 of our starters upfront after next year.
I could see Glass flipping though. His favorite coach out of everyone recruiting him was Georgia's former recruiting coordinator who just recently left for Auburn. And he stated that he'll have to look at that closely. So that looks like good news and especially if Kwon keeps yappin' in his ear.
Just realized something, if we get Jabrill Peppers, then we would have the produce cornerbacks in (Eli) Apple and (Jabrill) Peppers
You don't mess with a secondary full of Apple Burrows Bell Peppers, I tell ya what. Nor do you try to say it five times fast!
Sounds like a farmer's fresh produce!
Lol the funny thing is I actually work in the produce department at Kroger.
Corn Elder?
Good one prolly get him too
This may be stupid, but Im curious to see why many ppl think the new DT offered, Moten, will be a Buckeye? I understand him & Bosa & Bosa's brother are on same HS team & lil Bosa could come to OSU like Joey. But why is everyone so confident w/ Moten? Thanks jw
#Buckeyes
2014 wish list
Deshaun Watson
Da'Shawn Hand
Marshon Lattimore
Jonthan Haden
Jalen Hurd
Raekwon McMillain
Thaddeus Snodgrass
Jabrill Peppers
If Urban gets all of them, this would arguably be his best class so far.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
I don't think it's arguable, haha. You just named 3, possibly 4 5 stars.
Some of them might have a down year, so that could change.
Just imagining a D'Line with Washington, Spence, Bosa, Pittman, Schutt, and Hand is exciting.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Giving urban two years its pretty conceivable he gets 10-12 of the top 30.
I don't care if UFM is the second coming of Jesus, signing 10-12 (35-40%) of the top 30 players in the country in a single year is not possible. If he got 4-5 of them, which could maybe be possible, that class would rank as one of the best recruiting classes of all time, not just for OSU, but for anyone. I agree that Meyer is a top notch recruiter, and puts y'all in a position to make a run at just about any player in just about any year, but you're talking about him signing half of the HS All-Americans in the country. Give me a break.
"It is a man's own mind, not his enemy or foe, that lures him to evil ways." - Buddha
Agreed. USC's unreal class this year has six of the top 32 (per Rivals) and they're having trouble hanging onto them. Granted, it could be a Kiffin thing, or a disappointing season, or whatever, but, more likely, there will always be a sexy team (ND and A&M this year) that emerges to take a couple away that you target. Getting 33-40 percent seems unlikely; great goal, but let's be realistic.
More of a wish list then anything but here it goes....
1. Hand DE
2. Peppers CB
3. Watson/Barker/Ulmer/Crest-Whom ever...at QB
4. McMillan MLB
5. Booker OLB/MLB
6. Berger OLB
7. Garrett OLB
8. Hurd ATH
9. Haden/Autry RB/Slot
10.Lattimore ATH
11.Hood RB
12.Snodgrass WR
13.Scott WR
14.Johnson/with possibility of Kitt but doubt it...WR
15.O-Brown (calling it now...could be next Orlando Pace or something like him). OL
16.M-Jones OL
17.KC McDermott OL
18.Tony Brown/Webb/Balding CB
19.Nick Glass CB
20.Blazevich TE
21.Malik McDowell DT
Just speculation and there could be 21 if more scholarships open up and you never know....there could be more beyond that with attrition. Either way...this class will be #1 in the nation no matter who's list is correct...BANK THAT!

I think OSU will be like USC by then as far as national recruiting... Army All-american games will be a blast to watch. I still remember the Floyd's ditching us for Urban... That class would be sick.. I also think Watson will flip.. He will watch Braxton have a heisman season and want to be ap art of the special talent coming to Columbus...
Three more to my wish list(i'm starting to look at more Youtube videos).
Leonard Fournette(has Ohio State even offered?)
Bo Scarbrough(My hope is that Saban bolts for the NFL, and Meyer snatches him up)
Quin Blanding
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Well atleast I got one right
Missed on Webb on my prediction (glad I did)
Anthony Motten... does he have an OSU offer?
12-OH
Pass on Glass.
Have him go to Mike Hart's alma mater and room with Tuley-Tulman
QB: Barker
RB: Hurd, Autry
WR: Drake Harris, Lonnie Johnson
ATH: Lattimore. Haden
OL: Jones, Trout, Jamarco Jones
LB: Berger, McMillan, Garrett, Booker
DB: Webb, Peppers, West
TE: Idk but we get one
DL: Malik McDowell (wishful thinking)
Kicker!
QB - Barker
RB - Hurd
WR- Snodgrass
WR- Kitt
WR- Johnson
OL- M. Jones
OL- J. Jones
OL- Mustipher
OL- Brown Jr.
OL- Trout
DL- Sawyer
DL- Shaw
LB- McMillan
LB- Booker
LB- Garrett
LB- Berger
DB- Webb
DB- Peppers
DB- West
ATH- Lattimore
ATH- Autry
ATH- Haden
If there are only 2 OL in this class, we are going to have some serious problems down the line.
