Chad Simmons of Scout has informed all that Urban Meyer and Everett Withers are both at the game. Urban Meyer made sure he was visible outside the tunnel in front of Vonn Bell and the Ridgeland team before they came out.
Also, Everett Withers left the field to go up in the stands with the Bell family.

I know the Alabama coaching staff was busy in their own state today, but they may have made it. I'm not sure.
Doubt Bell makes decision immediately after the game. He has hinted that a decision would come after the game, so I expect later on in the week, unless he wants to have in-home visits, then he'd have to wait on into January.
I think he celebrates and enjoys the journey some before a college choice happens.

He hasn't looked great, BUT I'd keep in mind that as far as I can tell they're playing a lot of 3-5 defense. Because of that, where he'd be responsible for defending his half of the field in a traditional defense (as SS or FS), in this 3-5 defense he's the only safety back, so he's having to cover an incredible amount of ground and defend the entire field on nearly every play. Given that I'd say he still makes more plays than he misses, and has great range.
24 point deficit way too big to comeback with that offense and the way it is going. Still a good season making it to the finals though.

2 more things while I'm at it haha:
1) Hopefully Urban continues to put the press on 2014 Sandy Creek's Demarre Kitt -- guy is the real deal.
2) Anyone else that's watching the game on Derek's link hear the announcers say a few minutes ago "Alabama's here, Georgia's here, South Carolina's here, and some smaller schools as well"? I'm sure it wasn't an intentional slight of OSU, but gotta love SEC country lol.

To piggyback what some posters have said. Yes, Vonn Bell has missed a couple times, but he's also made a ton of plays.
Also, hard to make plays when your 10 other teammates literally get dominated on almost every play, so what he's done is impressive.
He has the whole field literally under his responsibility, so given that, hes played well. He's fast and gives good pursuit and also gives great support in run games. Takes very good angles for an 18 year old.
Also, gives it all each play. Makes very good blocks on offense.
Although he takes very good pursuit angles and is quick, sometimes he's a bit overzealous and out of control, causing him to miss on the play, like on the TD where the RB cut back on him.
From what I've read on Twitter, Kitt is the star of the game so far.
He's been excellent. Guys like him (lengthy, strong, good hands) typically go to pro-style offenses (Bama and LSU have made a living on getting guys who fit that mold). If Clemson--his supposed lean--or OSU nabbed him it'd be a huge get.
Hoping Bell plays well, but absolutely cannot root for Ridgeland and their Neanderthal style of offense. Reminds me of the mindless Hilliard Davidson style.

I know it's just one game but i can't say i am impressed. hopefully a lot of it is the fact that his front 7 are non existent like derek noted. that being said, if urban wants him then so do i. also, can't imagine him wanting to make an announcement after the game with it going the way it is. go bucks!

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but Saban just took DB Jonathan Cook today.
Some poeple on Volnation think that this news, combined with Meyer hanging out with Bell's parents points to Bell already informing Saban of where he wants to go.
Also heard that Alabama defensive backs coach has taken the FSU D-Coord job. Not sure if this affects Bell or not.

Cook is a corner, and they only have 1 safety commitment at the moment, so I don't think it would affect his decision.
I'd also add that it's hard to gauge whether Jeremy Pruitt's leaving would have any affect on Bell. Saban is the true DBs coach, Pruitt is mostly there for recruiting purposes from what I've read. The thing is, with Bell we ARE talking about recruiting. So I'd guess it depends on what he sees in Bama. If it's Bama's ability to help him get drafted, Pruitt leaving would have no affect on that. If it's that he has a great relationship with Bama's staff (and likely Pruitt), then it might.

As far as I know there has never been a comment saying he will decide right after the game.
I doubt he would announce right after a state championship, especially after his team was absolutely trounced. I'd give it a few days at least, if not a week. But here's to hoping Urban heard what he wanted from Vonn himself
