I noticed today that Mark Pantoni was retweeting @NationwideKids about Urban and a few players (Mewhort, Vannett) paying a visit to the Nationwide Children's Hospital earlier today. Major props to them for doing this.
I'll post a few pictures, but if you want to see the rest, check out @nationwidekids on Twitter.

Great post. Love to see Urbs and team sharing goodwill with the community.

Yes there are two Buckeyes in Ann arbor on this site!
Who needs a bowl game when you can do community service!
Ohio State's band SLAUGHTERED Michigan's band. If this were a football game, it would have been Florida State vs. Savannah State. - SB Nation following OSU vs. UM 2012

So so sorry for the downvote - it was meant to be an upvote. Using a tablet & my fat fingers sometimes hit the wrong button. I up voted the other pics & thanks for posting them!
The world is full of kings & queens who'll blind your eyes & steal your dreams - it's heaven & hell - Ronnie James Dio.
@Poison Nuts - I added an upvote also - I've done the exact same thing myself on my phone. And thanks to meyer for brightening those kids' days!

Big, big kudos to Jack Mewhort and Nick Vannett (and any others who might have accompanied them but weren't pictured), along with Urban and Shelley Meyer. There certainly are easier community service opportunities, but few mean so much to the kids and their parents.
It is cool to see Urban's son in the 1st pic too (I am 95% sure that is his son). It just goes to show you the kind of guy Urban is. He not only includes his kid on the sideline to share in the fun aspects of being the coaches son, but also includes him in the "life lesson" moments like this.
I love this. A lot. OSU & it's players have been doing these types of things for a long time & it's very nice to see UFM continuing that tradition. This means the world to these kids.

Way to go coach, keep up the good work!
That is awesome! Giving is what it is all about and being in a position to raise the spirits of these children makes all the difference in the world. Thanks a lot, Coach!
This was a huge deal for Woody Hayes. He was always, with his players, going to see the sick children. It is great for the kids. Brightens their days. Thanks coach.
Write about that, ESPN, Yahoo, SI and other haters!
Love to see it, and it all goes back to woody!
Urbz doin good work
Our honor Defend!
When did Children's hospital get that huge? I was going home from Grant, and happened to look over on the freeway, and the place is massive now.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
This is tremendous to see, especially at the holidays. Love to see Urban bringing his family and some players taking time out of their Christmas breaks to take part.
Class of 2010.
Glad to see UFM and current players visiting these kids and hopefully bringing some cheer to them at this time of year. Great contrast to what has been on the news with the tragedy in CT. Makes me proud of my hometown.
Those pictures and the smiles on everyones face are worth a thousand words............really really cool!
Battles are sometimes won by generals; wars are nearly always won by sergeants and privates. Football is no different, the guys down in the trenches win the games, not the coach.
That is just awesome! With all the negative things you see out there, it is great to see things like this. They made those kids day, and mine.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning! GO BUCKS!!
This is great to see. Our youngest was in Children's in October, and I am very thankful for their expertise and the good work they do. To be honest, if they hadn't admitted our youngest at that time, it's hard to tell how sick she could have become. We went to a local urgent care a week prior, and they were pretty useless and wouldn't even do a strep test. It turned out to be strep, but it was in her bloodstream by the time we went to Children's.
Video from the event. Interviews from Meyer and the players.
