Just reported over on Bucknuts that Tony Stevens will be coming up to OSU for visit!! Not a premium subscriber,so can't confirm the date, but what a huge get this would be if we could snag him away from FSU. With Quick probable Louisville lean,this would be nice plan "B" or "C".Hope Urbs can reel him in.

I don't think Stevens is a Plan B or C option. I think he would be a top target if he wasn't already committed/uncommitted (who knows) to FSU. He is an outside guy like Michael Thomas who can go up and get the football. Would love to have him in this class.

Well obviously with Quick and Gibson being option "A"-"1a",thats why I reference B or C,but agree he is definately a top target.

May have nothing to do with Quick and everything to do with Gibson and his grades. Or it has everything to do with getting the best available players. Let's be honest, it could be any number of things.

Stevens has been flirting with us for some time, he needs to break up with FSU and at least let us buy him a dinner and see where the night goes.

Really hoping we land two or more true WR in this class. With Quick as a Louisville lean and Gibson having academic troubles, I'm glad to see another WR visiting. I wonder if Sanders committing to TAMU opens up another spot for a playmaker?

I believe Alex (may have been another 11W staff member) said the other day we are at 79 scholarship players right now including the freshman coming in. Technically we only have room for 3 more in the 2013 class, but he sees a few more people leaving. I think the staff is going to be very picky with who they take to finish this class and for the 2014 class.

I've heard a lot of projections saying that we will take 4-6 more (assuming further attrition). Hopefully two LB, plus Worley, Bell, and two WR. The other option is an OL, but that is looking less and less likely.

Didn't he just schedule (and then cancel) a visit for the Michigan game here recently? Seems to be more flirting than actual interest. That said, if Urban finally gets him up here I like our chances. The fact that he's shown as much interest in A&M as he has I think says he's still not completely locked in to FSU.

I feel the same way about Vonn Bell. Get a recruit up to OSU, sitting in front of UFM, and I really like our chances.

Maybe Urban asked hiim not to visit because at that time we liked our chances with other recievers better (Gibson and Quick). Quick might go to UL and Gibson might not qualify. t'd be nice to have Stevens visit in Januarary once we know more about our other WR targets.
