Surpisingly, the B1G is actually asking us what we want. And one of the choices isn't terrible.

Go Vote for Option 2.
And as always, add "Keep OSU/Michigan in the last week of the season" as your "other" comments.

Games that should be at the end of the year
Ohio State vs. Michigan
Minnesot vs. Wisconsin (Both fan bases would be happy)
Illinois vs. Northwestern
Purdue vs. Indiana
Iowa vs. Nebraska
Let the others fall there they may.
Ohio State's band SLAUGHTERED Michigan's band. If this were a football game, it would have been Florida State vs. Savannah State. - SB Nation following OSU vs. UM 2012
I like this. That leaves Sparty playing PSU and Rutgers with MD. Sounds like a great weekend of football.

Sparty/MSU was a manufactured rivalry to accommodate PSU coming into the Big 10.
BUT, now it's almost real, so they should keep it.
Maryland Rutgers is a good idea, although I am secure enough to let them schedule their own final games (Maryland Virginia maybe? Rutgers v. U Conn or Syracuse or whatever) sort of like the Floridas playing each other or the Georgias or SC/Clemson.
To be honest option one is better. Why should Wisconsin get out of playing Ohio State, Penn State and/or Michigan and only have to play one power house in Nebraska. I disagree with options 2 and 3 100%.

Non-geographical alignments are stupid, that's why. The "competitive balance" thing means nothing, since Iowa was a powerhouse, and now they aren't. Same will be true with Penn State over the next decade. Also, Northwestern has been decent recently, as has Purdue.
No matter how you align it, some team will miss Ohio State and/or Michigan. That's why we have a Conference Championship Game. Keeping traditional rivals in the same division (which are based on geography) is a MUCH better idea.

If you need more evidence of this, look at the ACC. How many times exactly have FSU and Miami played each other in the ACC Championship Game?

Agree totally
I like current and add RU/MD to Leaders and Illinois to Legends.
How on earth can you support MSU/scUM being in the West and Wisky being in the East?

As long as we're in the same division as TTUN, I'm happy. 1 game a year is all I want. EFF a rematch.
I'd put the Buckeyes in one division and EVERYONE else in the other. It's only fair everyone have a shot at the conference championship game.
100% of unprayed prayers go unanswered
Option 2 also makes the most sense for what the conference is trying to do with the new TV markets. You need Ohio State and Michigan to matter in the new expanded region. I hate how Wisconsin is the wierd-smelling cousin in our division.
Plus, Option 2 eliminates the possibility of a rematch with OSU/UM, it can be played at the end of the year, Nebraska has the ability to own its division...everyone's happy.
I think option 3 is already setting up for trying to get ND. That way ND is inner and whoever else we take to get to 16 is obviously Outer. Otherwise we will go through this again. maybe next year or 2 years from now
Agree, but better to redo it in 2 years than get stuck waiting on something that might not happen. I've already forgotten who we were supposed to play and skip before the add of Md & Rutgers (just kidding ... I am aware we skip Neb and MSU)
