Not to rude, but I did look down the list and the other threads are talking about the possibility that he moves on. Now that he has stated (to SI at least) that he is staying, I wanted to know the opinion. I could have added to the Strong to Tenn post, but thought that now that the information was out there that he turned down the job, would some opinions change.
(Maybe skipping my post would be a better choice, rather than complaining about a posting you chose to read.)
why would someones opinion change between Strong possibly staying in louisville to Strong defintely staying in louisville in regards to Quick? I believe the thought would be the same!
With the title of "Strong staying at louis" could have gone a number of different ways so we have to look to see if you are posting some new information like what his extension is worth (as some have said in the previous post, could be the richest in college football), or ask who should Tennessee be going after now. How about who is the next top choice for vacant spots in college.
but to ask for a new opinion about how this effects Quick when it has been discussed many times and really probably doesn't have much of an impact because Quick likes Louisville because it is home, not because of the coach, is actually very similar to the other posts.
but I am being rude about it. I apologize and will leave it alone now!

yeah but say Hello to Vonn Bell. Now that Tennessee has been left wanting by 2 top end coaches at a prime recruiting time has got to steer recruits away from there. Vonn Bell would be crazy to pick Tennessee over OSU.
I agree, but, is Quick really that good? I watched a game when his team played on an ESPN network a few months ago & he really didn't seem to stick out to me as the best player on the field.
Goodness, check out the URL generated for this one. It's one thing that you couldn't bother with the "ville" part of the school, but what in the heck was your original title?
Ha! Sorry, I wrote a really long title on my iPhone, (something like Strong staying at Louisville over leaving for Tenn.), then tried to backup and delete it. Left that jumbled mess, corrected it to "staying at Tenn" which is even worse, then quickly changed it to Louis to save time hoping someone wouldn't see and post to the two screw-ups! Obviously the third time still wasn't the charm!
That may be why I have read for a long time, but didn't sign-up/post for a long time.
Have any of you guys heard Strong's press conference this morning? He was very passionate about how Louisville gave him the opportunity when no one else would after 27 years of being an assistant. Heck of a coach and seems like he is going to stay at Louisville for a long time. Funny how no one thought about the fact that when he started out rough last year, 2-4, Juric gave him a contract extension and that meant more to Strong than all the other stuff. He said it was tough to walk away from an SEC job but he felt Louisville backed him and he belongs there.
I'd be less worried about Quick and more worried about Strong locking down northern Kentucky in general. Players will play their asses off for him.
What do you think would attract recruits more, Urban being a lifelong buckeye and coaching his dream job or Strong feeling ultimate graditude for the opportunity that Louisville gave him when no one would? Tough to beat either one of those! Two coaches that believe what they have is more than a normal HC job.
I respect Strong immensely for staying at UofL. I've heard it said that he really feels a deep sense of loyalty to them for giving him his first opportunity as a head coach. I had also heard that one of the reasons he hadn't received HC jobs in the past was because he was not impressive and did not interview well, which I kind of find hard to believe.
Will Perdue was on the radio here in Nashville yesterday and I didn't catch all of his segment, but he was saying something about how Strong had angered UofL fans and had called them out during the season. Do you know anything about that?
OMG, look down the list for this before you post! There are already 3 conversations on this site currently talking about it!

Your honesty is refreshing!
Obviously not, as shown with the -4 stickers.
I have no problem admitting my screw-up!!!
I think there is a Strong chance Quick commits to Louisville now...

I think it's due to this press conference Monday: http://johnclay.bloginky.com/2012/12/04/charlie-strong-mark-stoops-and-j...
Yeah this is it.
Yikes. Strong is a good coach, but man...
