The 2012 B1G Champs!*
*Also known as one of the other 11 B1G team to get their asses kicked by Ohio State.
God do I hate this year and this conference.

If we got a call and the SEC offered us and Michigan a spot would we take it or turn it down?
Ask me again when I'm thinking clearly and not in a rage. I am disgusted with this year. From the non-stop SEC BS, Ohio State going 12-0 and being on probation, all the expansion BS, Freaking WISCONSIN going to the Rose Bowl....I am embarrassed by our league right now.
We can't stop here; this is bat country...
An overtime win is hardly an ass-kicking.
If you land a couple punches but end up on the ground you still got your ass kicked
They landed more than a couple.
The Big Ten has had their ass kicked by Ohio State for the last decade. Maybe you forgot?

thetenyearwar is our very own johnny raincloud. He has a hard time giving the Bucks credit for very much.

Uh yeah we were talking about this season.
Sure, ok. Wisconsin has beat the Buckeyes once since 2004. I'll take that.

An overtime win might not be, but you know what is Ball not getting the record on Ohio State and the fumbal on 4th and 1.
You tell the SEC when they can learn to read and write, then they can figure out what we're doing. - Gordon Gee
Doesn't matter...next year the entire conference will know that daddy's home
I think the conference already knows that. :)

SEC wouldn't invite us. We enunciate our sentences. It confuses those southerners.

Except, you know, Vanderbilt is a thing.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
And the catastrophe that was the 2012 Big Ten finally comes to an end (unless you want to count bowls, which I'm absolutely not going to be watching)
Yes this is a good year to camouflage yourself in the background at the bar while the bowl games are on. Stanford is going to beat up Wisky. What is the record for consecutive losses in the Rose Bowl?
Coincidentally, I believe it is 3.
I was kinda afraid it would be OSU that had done the losing. I'm a browns fan also so that should explain the negativity.
The record for most consecutive Rose Bowl loses is shared by none other than Michigan (1977, 1978, 1979), California (1949, 1950, 1951) and soon to be Wisconsin (2011, 2012, 2013)
Hard to go to a Rosebowl three time in a row when you are constaintly interrupted by NCG's...
This is the reason that I really don't like an expanded playoff - a team that gets hot at the end of the the season can make a mockery out of the system. WI had no right being there. They were 3rd in their division and because of circumstances that had nothing to do with the quality of their team they lucked into the B1G championship game. Yet, they get hot for that one game, and now we have a 5 (FIVE!) loss team in the Rose Bowl. It kind of makes the whole season totally pointless. But, congrats to them. Here's to hoping they will continue their hot play into the Rose Bowl, but they will be facing a much better D in Stanford.
They (Wisconsin) remind me of the Pitt team that "won" the Big East back in the day and lost to Urban and Co. (Utah) in 2005 - having a ridiculous amount of losses goin into a BCS game that they will lose.
"...but then again 'Michigan' and 'huge mistake' are synonymous so that shouldn't have been much of a surprise to anybody." - Mark Titus
Yeah but that 5 loss team lost those 5 games by a combined 19 points and three of them were overtimes losses. That's the best 5 loss team I can think of in recent memory.
Let's all collectively cool down. I honestly think that Wisky has a slightly worse chance than Nebraska of beating Stanford. Only slightly worse.
Actually, I think that Wisky probably has a better chance of beating Stanford. My only ill feeling is that I really don't think they deserve to be there based on their total season. Granted, they are only in because both OSU and PSU were not eligible to participate in the B1G championship game. This is an extremely rare occurrence that we will probably never have to worry about again. They may be the best 5 loss team I have ever seen, but they still have 5 losses! That said, I still wish them well in the Rose Bowl - they are the B1G rep. And, if for some reason they manage to win, what will that say about the overall quality of the B1G - a midlin' conference team beating a legit Pac12 champion? May be a blessing is disguise for the B1G - LOL!!!!
Pardon my anger, but the rest of the B1G can go f*** itself next year. If we win the NCG it's a championship for OSU, not the Big Ten. I'm so sick of the "carrying the conference" crap
This entire year was disgusting and Delaney seems intent on keeping it that way by adding even worse teams.
You had me at " the rest of the B1G can go f*** itself next year."
This is absolute BS, all of this.
So Wisconsin can win half of their conference games, get into the conference title game only because the two teams ahead of them in their division, who both beat them, are ineligible for the postseason, fluke out one win, and they're the so-called conference champions and get to go to the Rose Bowl. Really?
It's ridiculous. I'm sure Delaney loves the money - between this conference title game that the B1G survived over 100 years without, and adding two schools to this conference who do nothing to make this conference look stronger, but make the conference more money because BTN is in the NYC/DC/Baltimore markets now.
The worst part is that I want to argue that they should've just sent Nebraska to the Rose Bowl, but I can't now because I just saw them get their asses totally destroyed on national TV by 7-5 fucking Wisconsin. What an embarrassment.
Class of 2010.
I wanted to see Nebraska move on just so they could have a shot at finishing 11-2 and being ranked in the top 10 of the final BCS giving our league a little credibility and the Bucks more reason for voters to vote them higher. But in terms of the Rose bowl, it's probably better that Wisky plays. As mentioned before all of Wisky's losses were close and could have gone either way really. Nebraska's a bit overrated, caught a break playing Michigan and in their 3 losses gave up 640 yds to Wisky, 653 to UCLA and 498 to OSU as well as giving up 63, 70 and 36. Their D is garbage.
The BIG 10 will never get credibility because when we beat each other, it is labeled as beating weaker opponents. But, when SEC teams beat each other, no matter how bad the games are, they are labeled as games of the century (ex: LSU-Bama last year). The media loves the SEC and no one else.
Tenyearwar:
Walmart Wolverines = 8-4, OSU = 12-0
26-21
go cry about it
also, the last ten years has been anythng but a war -
Quick Hypothetical: Do you guys think we could have beat Neb down like Wisky just did?
We already did!
How does tenyearwar have -209 helmet stickers? That is absolutely ridiculous. He should have a suspension or something for having that many negative stickers.
F--- Michigan!
My least favorite part of this is that Wisky can say that they won the B1G three years in a row due to tOSU vacating their wins... ugh.
Tom Crean listens to Nickelback...
I didn't think about that either until the announcers said it last night. That burnt a little bit going down given my dislike for Wisky.
That game was an embarrassment for all of the B1G schools. I watched the part of the first quarter and turned it off. The third best team in the Leaders division beats the winner of the Legends. The bowl record for the B1G is going to be horrible. I think MSU may be the only team to get a W. Sad.
Not sure how anyone could be upset at this season. 12-0. Sure probation makes for a bitter taste, but I think our attention needs to be on repeating an undefeated season next year with hopes of embarassing teams by 50 points each week. No need for negativity about Wisconsin winning last night. At least we arent Nebraska fans. As bad as I felt about the 2006 National title game loss against Florida, cant imagine what it would have been like seeing our boys put in a performance like Nebraska did last night, wowzah.
