A&M is a good school and is on the uprise. Like BinSEC said, they're in the recruiting hotbed that is Texas, and now place in the SEC. It's no surprise. I had a feeling AM would start being a top program once they moved into the SEC and w/ the Longhorns struggles as of late.
I really think the body of work should be taken into consideration and Klein should win it. The prior years of his work plus what he managed to do on the field this year helped Kansas State accomplish what it has. Take Klein away and it would all just be mediocre. Yes the same could be said for Manziel but no one knows for sure if it is a one year wonder type of deal.
No. Collin Klein had an overall better year. Manziel will win it just for the story line. Freshman, beating Alabama, etc.
Just like that's the reason Te'o is even mentioned... It's all about the storylines these days.
I agree with you...before the Bama game you didnt hear too much about him. u heard his whole "johhny football" nickname but if they didnt beat Bama then he wouldnt be gettin all this hype.
I think AM would have had a better season had their 1st game not got postponed... that would have given manziel one game under his belt before playing #3 ranked Florida for his first start ever. And they still only lost by 3. And Manziels #s weren't terrible, but not special.
If Braxton Miller had 3419 yards passing 24 TDs and another 1181 rushing and 19 TDs (playing in the 'best' conference) we would all be saying he deserves the heisman and or is a lock... well Manziel did it, so I think he deserves it. Teo is a good story but c'mon, ND's DL and rest of their D is pretty legit, I'm sure they wouldnt drop off much w/ out Teo and someone else in their. Whereas AM would have lost more than their 2 close losses.
I can't see anyone else who deserves it over him this year.
Von Miller went there too, I doubt anything was underhanded about him signing....

No....if you look at it from a voters or a former Heisman winners stand point (who vote btw) and think about how sometimes a sophomore would win it (Archie Griffin and others...Tim Tebow...sorry had to) but a Freshman...never! Even if he's a redshirt Freshman...still some will not vote for him based on that but will that be the majority???
Yes...if you look at it from how well he performed against Bama and beat Cam Newtons record for all purpose yards as a QB (4600 yards in the ever so tough SEC...puke) despite losing two games (other guys records were Klein 1 loss and Mante of course 0). I feel the majority will be those people who vote for him because of those points above...no matter what. It will be close but Johnny Football wins it....

I love it when an air raid spread attack that ALWAYS has qb's that puts up monster numbers somehow gets more recognition just because he's doing it in the sec. I'm not say that Manzeil isn't great, he is but people need to stop talking so much about the numbers. Many many many quarterbacks have seemed immortal in that offense.
Look at his stats in all of his crucial games compared to Klein or even Te'o ... Not even close.
