Rebuttal to self righteous ND fans
I work with a former Notre Dame player who is constantly calling OSU cheaters and brags about how they do things the right way and never have scandals like we do. So today I shared this article with him. Feel free to use it to silence any ND douchebags that may say the same to you.

I moved from Ohio to South Bend about 7 years ago and the can tell you that the 2 rapes mentioned above and also the death of the camera man really got under my skin. Only a few people here actually pay attention of what is going on. I always get the OSU is a bunch of cheaters crap out here and it definitely gets tiresome. This article definitely puts things in to perspective and pray justice will be served.

I would think so, laughing and smacking Brady on the helmet and hurling phrases involving "Pounded" and "Your Sister" in some type of manner. He defintely Alpha Maled Brady Quinn when he joined that family.

Listen, like Ohio State being judged and called "cheaters", as a program in its entirety, because of Coach Tressel's indiscretions and five kids selling memorabilia, ND shouldn't be judged as a program in its entirety based on the actions, no matter how reprehensible, of two players. There are positives and negatives in all things. All things. There are great people associated with ND... and, yes, there are also some "negatives" at Notre Dame. I'm an Ohio State alum and I love the Buckeyes, but there are people on here who seem intent on judging the university of Notre Dame and its football program based on the alleged actions of a very small sampling of that community. Sound familiar???

Listen bud, this does sound familiar and you can say the same thing about the OSU/PSU scandals. What makes Notre Dame any different though? We were castrated. I honestly believe that most of us would be quite forgiving if ND had actually disciplined these two scumbags, and made an effort to make sure that this never happens again. I think that is why they should be judged as an entirety.

What makes ND and PSU different is that these are criminal matters and the NCAA has no say in the matter. Further, they overstepped their bounds when they imposed penalties on PSU. What OSU did broke NCAA rules.
I think you've contradicted yourself. I think that what's fair is fair, if it happened to PSU it should happen to ND. I actually think that if these allegations against ND are true, then ND is in much worse shape than PSU. They have current players and staff that are being accused of some serious crimes.

1. I would be willing to bet a kidney OSU would beat ND's ass this year if there was no bowl ban. Do any of us have any serious doubts? No.
2. If ND doesn't lose to Alabama by 3 TDs I am going to be STUNNED. The Irish were a chip-shot missed FG by Pitt from being irrelevant. Yeah, God helped you there. He won't help you vs Nick Saban.
3. ND is always going to be arrogant because they hold onto the "prestige" of how good they were back before any of us were born and back when they wore leather helmets. I've always been of the belief that antiquated style of football WOULD GET SLAUGHTERED TODAY. Those leathernecks would wet themselves at the sight of a John Simon.
4. ND has won as many national titles as OSU has over the last 25 years = 1. Doesnt make them any better than us. In fact it makes them much worse because it came back when Reagan was still president
5. ND has never faced Urban Meyer
6. Mante T'eo graduates this year. Take him off their D and they're ordinary.
7. The forementioned fact ND hasnt beaten OSU since the Great Depression

There is only one rebuttal in any sports argument, and it's called winning. OSU is taking its medicine this year, and us message board types will have to sit through another year of either "SEC, SEC" or --maybe worse?-- "Notre Dame wins championship the right way." Next year the Buckeyes get their shot. We are almost certainly preseason top 5, and mabe as high as 2 or 3. Our schedule is embarrassingly easy. Win a championship and all the chirping from "the haters" won't matter. Come up short, and you have to keep putting up with it.
I can't stand Notre Dame, but you are dreaming if you think that type of coverup is unique to Notre Dame. When I was a student at OSU, I was good friends with athletes from a few different sports. You would not believe some of things I saw that were ignored and swept under the rug.
This is also an accurate rebuttal for anyone trying to villify Tress, while subsequently trumpeting Kelly.
Just remind him that this is the first time they've been relevant in over 20 years...besides 2006 when OSU beat them in the Fiesta Bowl. That should do...at least it does for me when my Uncle who went to school there opens his mouth during the holidays.

Nothing shuts up Notre Dame fans. I learned that after this past NC(i've always known, but this confirmed). They were actually celebrating being #1 in the BCS after what Bama did to Notre Dame.

CNN's currently running a segment on The Situation Room bashing ND's handling of the T'eo case and a previous rape/assault case that got some pub.
I still think one of the funniest parts of this story is that Notre Dame, with their high and mighty strict academic standards, looks pretty dumb defending this guy. I mean - I personally think he's probably in on the hoax. But, which is worse - that - or that he fell for the hoax if he wasn't in on it? I mean - how DUMB can this guy be? How in the hell did he get into Ive League-esque Notre Dame?
Everytime I try to discuss Notre Dame football I puke in my mouth. So, I'm leaving this one alone.
