I don't have much ill will toward Pryor. I'm glad he went away and he was a dope like so many others on the team at the time....but that guy was competitive and he loved to be a Buckeye and was proud to be a Buckeye, that's something I still always liked about him.
Cool - and I may be mistaken, but I think the previous discussions were about POSSIBLE playing time, not actually officially starting. This is news to me at least.
Go get 'em TP! Do some crazy runs for first downs, and if you can also make a couple nice throws, that'd go a long way, I think.
I was looking for that thread as well! Glad he's getting a shot I'm genuinely interested to see how he does at QB. Aside from how he left the program he's still a Buckeye and I hope he does well.
Could be a lose lose for Pryor though. He's gonna hafta produce in his start with this being the last game of the season, this game will be what the current/new staff see when making decisions. Hope he kills it!
Of course I move from Cali the week that he finally starts and I likely won't be able to watch him play.
Well if the rumblings are true, Oakland might be heading towards a Seismic, Chucky looking shift this season and if I'm not mistaken Gruden and TP got to know each other a little....
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
Gruden back in Oakland would be interesting! Not sure what's it'd mean to TP, but I gotta think he'd at least get a shot to start a few games instead of the golden boy duo. Either way, hope he jblows it up because its pretty rough getting the last start of the season.
Really happy to hear this! TP is such a freakish athlete and I'd love to see him do well in the NFL. He may have had his issues at tOSU but he'll always be a buckeye, as other people have mentioned on this thread, and it's always nice to see former buckeyes do well.
Redstorm...you're wasting your time. If it's a Buckeye fan from 2008-present...you're utterly and completely wasting your time man.
Enough said right here above ole Redstormy...don't even try to fight the fight...they all love him...but conveniently forget what he and others did. Just give up now...

Didn't read this until I got done with my post above...Redstorm...I'd say this says it all right? This is the mentality you're dealing with. Being a fan of him and wishing well is one thing, but blatant see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil syndrome...is hard for this Buckeye fan to understand.
TP era and fabulous in same sentence...good stuff...wow is all I can say (not to mention the spelling...). At least he got us a new and better coach based on poor choices. For that...I wish him well in the NFL...bc SO many here at 11W fail to see that's all he used OSU for.

I'm with you man. And I'm 23, not some old fart. I don't wish him ill or anything, I just don't care if he succeeds. To say he's always a buckeye is a joke...if you have any sense of reality of what happened. Sure, it's intriguing to see him with a real QB coach and not in a tressel/bollman offense. But he was just a better athlete than everyone in college, won't be the case in the pros. He never made "NFL" throws and had a terrible throwing motion. You do realize he's a primary reason we're not playing notre dame next week? And the TP years were great? A single bowl win, the other one vacated? Cool, he dominated eastern michigan. Do we forget Wisconsin, penn state, USC...aka some of the biggest games that ended up as losses? He was one of those over the top prima dona recruits we all loathe, he just happened to use OSU to get to the NFL.
Remember, everybody kills people or dogs or something....
This is the problem with ESPN spewing their BS all over the place. To say Pryor was the primary reason is wrong. For one, there were 4 other guys that sold their stuff, not just Pryor. Second, if Tressel had just informed OSU and the NCAA when he found out about it and suspended them for their 4 or 5 games each, we would have never had an investigation and none of the other stuff would have come out and there'd be no bowl ban.
I like where we are now even given the bowl ban because Urban is the perfect man for the job and I thought we needed a change anyways but still, it's not all Pryor's fault. He's just, for some reason, the easiest person for everyone to blame.
People love to bag on Pryor and put it all on him, but then if you mention Tressel they automatically say, " I BELIEVE HE TOLD GENE SMITH AND THEN FELL ON THE SWORD LATER!!!!!!!!" Of course, there is no evidence of this at all, and since he had correspondence with the attorney on his work email account, I would think there would be some email correspondence on Tressel's work email account about the infractions with compliance or Gene Smith, but nope NOTHING.
TP had his part in it, but so did Tressel. I wish people would quit making TP a villain but at the same time keep Tressel elevated at some saintly level. TP fucked up, 4 other players fucked up, so did Tressel, and then Jordan Hall and Devier Posey later. You can't pick and choose which ones did more damage, EVERY ONE OF THEM HAD RESPONSIBILITY. In my mind, if you hate one you have to hate them all at least if you reason for hating them was all the NCAA trouble.
Pryor was banned from the university anyway, he bailed the same way Tressel "retired". He was never going to be given the opportunity to have a senior season here.
I agree with the few posters that still have a bad taste in their mouths from the whole Pryor era. I greatly respect, however, that many of you can forgive the kid of his misdeeds, not because I think he deserves it, but because there's no hypocrisy in the situation. If Tressel is forgiven, then Pryor must be also.
That being said, while not rooting against him, I won't be rooting for TP's success in the pros, and I would hope no one would hold that against me. I hold some serious cynicism for a system in which a kid can get by on his natural athleticism alone, despite transgressions in high school and college.
I understand that he was a young man when these things happened, and though he may have been able to redeem himself of some of his choices in high school, his choices and their implications on Ohio State as an institution showed a complete disregard of accountability, which I believ is fostered by this system. It's the same flawed ethical compass that allows Duron Carter to do absolutely nothing positive for his entire college career, but still be allowed to be considered for the draft, which should be a priveleged earned, rather than a guarantee that accompanies a physical gift.
There are slightly lesser talented athletes that are struggling to pay for their educations, and make all the right choices, but maybe lack that extra god given talent to end up in the league, and to see a kid like TP take no accountability for himself, and skate along with his way paid, is a little hard to swallow.
That said, again, there is no hypocrisy. Even while he is currently an employee at my hometown university, I cannot find myself rooting for Jim Tressel either. When men, no matter the age, smear mud on the institution that I love, and the system denies them accountability, I won't hate the men themselves, but I will criticize the system.
In conclusion, I don't want TP to fail, but you won't see me buying his jersey, now or ever.
This is a good post, but I wonder why you are hesitant to levy individual blame. I think you'd get 99.9% agreement that this system sucks, but wouldn't you agree that it is individual choice and individual integrity which would be the prime criteria in any succesful system?
I never deflected blame from anyone. To make it more clear: Is this the fault of Pryor, Thomas, Herron, Adams, and Posey? Yes. Is it also the fault of Tressel, and possibly Smith or anyone else that knew of the players' actions and didn't report? Yes.
But, do this also lead me to look down upon the system, because my feeling is that it allows offenders to slip accountability? Also yes. To have contempt for the system is not mutually exclusive with blaming those responsible.
And while sharing your contempt for the system, I have a great deal of contempt for Gee*, Smith* and Tressel and do not give Pryor a pass because he is young or poor. I know very little about the other kids, and don't care to, mainly because they are bit players, and also, the tats for trinkets thing is not a huge moral code violation per my code.
In a way this is a confirmation of your 'system theory' analysis, but I am angrier that the kids traded their golden pants than I am at anything else (i.e., I resent their lack of love of Ohio State more than I do their violation of hypocritical, picayune, NCAA violations)
*Here's something to stir it up: I believe that Gene Smith is still the AD because he protected G.G. Gee's guilty ass.
I won't address theories with no backing, but I'll let anyone know that I have a lot of contempt for Gee for other reasons, from the point of view of a student. That said, I fully agree with your statement about the gold pants. As a child that grew up idolizing OSU football players, but wasn't blessed with the athleticism to have the school pay my way, it really is upsetting to me that the people that recieved that honor sometimes seem to have no respect for it.
Do you forget that if he didn't do those things, Tressel would still be our coach and we very likely would NOT have gone 12-0?
Why does everyone forget that we would not have Urban Meyer as a coach as a result of all this and that we very likely would not have gone 12-0 this year udner the previous regime. Therefore how can anyone POSSIBLY say we'd be in the national championship game this year?
You're right Mr.Highwire; what's behind us is not important; when that door closed a nice Urban window opened and we are all the better for it! Go Buckeyes!!!!!!!!
No Bro...they are serious....that's the most F'ed up part about it...UNREAL!

TP is also solely responsible for 3 of the best years OSU has had in recent memory. Yeah, he screwed up. However, Tressel is the reason we're not playing in the title game, not TP. had JT done the right thing, those guy would've gotten a 3 game suspension and we'd have probably played in the NCG last year with Pryor as the leader of the offense. He was a dumb kid, yes, but give credit where it's due. The kid was a stud and left OSU fans a lot of fantastic memories.
He was a stud, but the posters above have a point also.
While I have never seen a better college scrambler, he did lose the Penn State game by not knowing where the 1st down sticks were, and then foolishly reaching the ball out for a hope ending fumble. So if you are keeping score, he kept us from a BCS Bowl.
On a personal level, he started out by calling us the University of Ohio State at his announcement ceremony and he was a large reason for our current probation. He appeared to be a very medium team guy on the field and on the sidelines. He also had the Michael Vick eye black and some other gangster type stuff that, in my opinion, reflected poorly on the University.
You have the right to like him anyway, and you have the right to call me a racist (though your labeling may appear to make you look more judgmental than the person you are trying to label). And I have the right to cringe when kids I don't think reflect on the University in a good way are given exposure.
He did it when Michael Vick was suspended for his conviction for dog fighting and, I believe some form of racketeering.
I want my kid's heroes to be Abraham Lincoln and Barak Obama. Or, if they have to succomb to the vapid sports idolatry, then give me Jeremy Lin, Payton Manning or Tony Gonzlez.
You think that Michael Vick was his hero makes him or his situation more sympathetic???
Call him "gangster" for supporting a guy he wanted to show support for while admitting what he did was wrong. I hate it when "gangster" kids show us how mercy and forgiveness works better... so gangster...
Now the thrust is that we all should forgive Michael Vick because he was sorry that he couldn't get back in the NFL. I am relieved that Michael Vick apologized for hanging several dogs. Or did I just not get it ... that the actual thrust is that Pryor forgave Michael Vick for hanging dogs, so I am a racist for not liking Pryor or am I racist for not liking Michael Vick and imposing my white standards on dog hangers???
Beyond what I believe to be a moral joke here, there is also the issue that IN MY OPINION, Terrelle Pryor wore Michael Vick eye black both to support a horribly depraved gangster and to draw AS MUCH ATTENTION TO HIMSELF AS WAS POSSIBLE.
You don't have to like Michael Vick, (which personally I do not) but you can't call Pryor a gangster because he has his childhood idol's name on his eyeblack. Just ask yourself this, if TP was white would you be calling him gangster?
If he were white, I'd be more likely to call him an unredeemable POS, because I would not take into account the possibility that he was a misguided, underprivileged kid, with no positive role models.
Ask youself if excusing his attention grabbing identification with a depraved animal torturer doesn't make it appear that black kids are JUSTIFIABLY held to a LOWER MORAL CODE than white kids?? I can tell you disapprove of racism. I don't think you could voice your disapproval any more effectively than loudly and inexorably insisting that black kids adopt and maintain a high moral code. Excusing gangster behavior is my definition of racism.
Requiring and expecting excellence of all kids is the ultimate show of racial acceptance IMO.
I just looked it up, and it turns out that Michael Vick was not only TP's favorite player but one of his friends. When one of your friends goes to jail you support them however you can, and this was TP's way of showing support. What Vick did is obviously inexcusable, but when your friend does something wrong you tend to make excuses for them.
I assume you meant my opinion stinks rather than the opinion just above yours?
Which opinion? That T Pryor acts like a gangster or is it the opinion that the epitome of racism is to accept lower moral standards from a group which has been racially stigmatized and historically characterized by the majority to be an inferior race, when I do not believe that the stigmatized race is morally inferior and should be held to a hig standard, which in turn will eventually quell if not extinguish the prejudice held by a plurality of the majority race?
How on earth am I holding the black community to lower moral standards by saying that TP is not a gangster? He comes from a fairly middle class town with not much crime at all, let alone gang violence. He did nothing that suggests he was affiliated with a gang. Your argument is that TP is a gangster who owns "gangster stuff," and I'm telling you that that is false and that you are making racial stereotypes.
Being friends with a serial animal torturer is better than just idolizing an animal torturer, the dog fighter is not a gangster, and believing that wearing eye black with the alleged gangster's alleged name on it makes the alleged wearer an alleged gangster is racially stereotyping?
For those of us raising children, I'd say that Michael Vick's animal torturing is a hell of a lot more of a moral threat than texas chainsaw trailers. At least no one defends the texas chainsaw massacerer as a misunderstood martyr of the underclass.
The PC stuff out there about racism is nonsensical. Michael Vick is an animal killer. If calling him a gangster is more offensive than reciting what he was convicted of, then the PC cancer has spread past the point where the body politic can be revived.
I never said that Michael Vick was a good person, in fact I dislike him quite a bit, and I never said he wasn't a gangster (I don't think he had/has gang ties but I could be wrong). I'm saying that you can't call TP a gangster because he supported his friend. Terelle Pryor made a very badly worded comment following the eyeblack game where he basically said that everyone deserves a second chance. TP never excused what Vick did, he just thought his friend deserved another chance.
Who's to say we'd bein the title game this year if things hadn't gone the way we did? How can you possibly say that two totally different coaching staffs would have both gone 12-0 this year?
You cannot make the logical conclusion that we would be in the title game this year, because if those things hadn't happened we'd have a totally different coaching staff...and likely a totally different set of players (lest we forget the recruiting magic Urban Meyer performed a year ago).
You don't have sanctions if it weren't for Pryor, Tressel et al...but you don't have Urban Meyer and a 12-0 season if it weren't for them either.
Herron, Posey, Adams, Thomas and Tressel, yes Tressel, all played a part in this. I guess I'm just more worried you don't understand what "soley" means.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
All this above about his "accolades" are hilarious (and I can't wait till Braxton blows every record out of the water...because it's going to happen and I CAN'T WAIT!) TP lost to teams OSU should have beat....lost to unranked and under .500 team in Purdue, *Penn St. who won the B1G...sort of and lost to *Wiscy when it mattered most and made their season (too bad both those asterix don't count now...huh??). He also had a host of talented players around him, so to say it was "all" him like so many of you do, is pathetic (and shows you know dick about a "team" sport). To say it was all him...is a FALLACY. Please people...stop putting a person on a pedestal who put OSU through the ringer and made us look like we cheated for 3 or more years (if OSU had another QB at the time besides Joe B. and Tress didn't put all his eggs in one basket as well as trusting these players too much and creating a culture counter productive to what OSU stands for, then we wouldn't be going back and forth about this would we???).

With all due respect, the line of thinking that says we'd be in a NC game this year had TP or JT not done what they had done is flawed. Without them making whatever mistakes they made, Urban wouldn't even be the coach at OSU & we likely wouldn't have had the 12-0 season...The more reasonable line of thinking for why OSU is not in the NC game this year is that we did not try to impose a bowl ban last year...even then there was no guarantee...Either way, the events that unfolded all lead to UFM being here which I think we can all agree that we're all pretty ecstatic about.
Edit: My comment here is not at all a knock on Jim Tressel, I love the guy. I'm simply stating that Terrelle Pryor is not the reason we aren't in the NC game this year & that the events that led to Urban Meyer being the coach are in fact the infractions that took place...it's doubtful we would be undefeated this year & in a position to be in the NC game without everything happening just exactly as it did...Had none of this ever happened, TP would be gone this year and it would have been Braxton's first year & I find it highly unlikely that we go undefeated with a new QB & mostly new starters on offense.
The world is full of kings & queens who'll blind your eyes & steal your dreams - it's heaven & hell - Ronnie James Dio.
YES YES YES. Totally different scenarios if the violations and sanctions don't play out. One simply cannot conclude that we'd be 12-0 and possibly in the NC game if the sanctions hadn't occurred. Makes no sense.
Same sentiment as you to about Tress. Not knocking him, but no way he and his coaching staff go 12-0 this year.
Undefeated Ohio State wouldn't have been passed by 1 loss anyone. The BCS would of still got their dream ratings matchup, and voters in the Harris Poll wouldn't have made a stand against Ohio State because of sanctions like AP voters did. Though I still don't believe they are an AP champ worthy squad without playing the B1G title game and bowl game, but and 2nd win against Nebraska would of kept Bama from leap frogging Ohio State.
No way an undefeated Buckeye team would be left out.
Tressel wouldn't have been able to go undefeated with this squad. Too many close games that his conservative play calling wouldn't have been able to get us out of. He was a wonderful coach, but imagine what would've happened in that Purdue game when Braxton went down. 3 strait DAVE plays and Guiton never leads the team on the tying drive.
Amazingly, Tressel actually went undefeated with that same conservative play calling and won a National Championship at the same time. It amazes me when some people talk about Tressel like he could not coach.
I never said he couldn't coach, but they also had an ungodly talent in Mo C and the best Buckeye defense of my lifetime, and one of the better college football defenses of the last 20 years. This team had Braxton, but no Mo C or Beanie to bail out the offense when Dave would be run 30 times a game. Also, the defense wasn't very good, and the O-line under the Tressel regime's guidance wouldn't have performed to the level that this years staff coached the group up to.
It's not that Tressel couldn't coach, but this team would not have been one of his better groups.
I'll edit this as I didn't realize BT answered already.
Jason - There are plenty of people, myself included, who loved Jim Tressel & appreciate what he did for OSU. But what happened, happened & I'm now thrilled with the new situation with the new staff. Shit happened. I love the old guy, I love the new guy.

I try as often as possible to write "OSU" as opposed to we myself, as I tend to think along your lines. Sometimes I write we even still. If you're an alum or even just a fan, it makes you feel a part of something, hence the we...While I agree with you to an extent, there's nothing wrong with people wanting to be a part of some sort of greater bond...

Disagree. If JIM TRESSEL would have came clean with the info he had, TOSU would be bowling. If Tress would have spoke up TP, Boom, Dp, etc. sit for 5+ games and their is no bowl ban. Not a fan of TP but you really can't blame him for it all.

I don't get it? No one claimed Pryor as their man crush, all people are doing is wishing him well.
I wish him, boom, posey, tressel, mike Adams well. They all have flawed legacys here, but they were buckeyes that accomplished lots of good things. Many of the players that went 12-0 this year are in someway tied to these guys and may not be here If not for all of them.
People have reading issues in this forum. No one said Pryor is the only reason for the bowl ban, he was a main contributor and then bolted when the other guys stayed. Without Pryor leading the crew to violations, there is no further investigation. But I suggest going back to English class for several here to learn to read fully.
You can remember him for going 31-4, 3-0 vs Michigan, and 2 BCS wins or you can cry about how he traded memorabilia (that he owned) for money and tattoos. Ill choose to remember the good times.

Sooooo, I've taken a look around this thread & from what I gather, you don't like Terelle Pryor very much...amirite? You spoke your piece, you don't like TP due to his past transgressions. Fair enough.
We're all on this site because we're fans of the same thing. Differences of opinion are great - I like a good debate & come here to hear the different opinions & views. Sometimes I even change my mind after reading something that makes sense. I've read a couple of posts where people who aren't rooting for TP gave an intelligent explanation why, and left it at that. Calling people idiots, morons, stupid etc...when they see things differently than you is frankly as childish as the former college kid you're so angry with.

Dallas, nice try, he's misquoting others in this thread. The idiots on this forum make me want to leave, sorry to all the rational commenters out there who can comprehend English.
Wait, are you saying I am misquoting? He definitely said Pryor was soley [sic] responsible. You said no one was saying Pryor was the only one responsible for the bowl ban. That makes your statement patently false, which is what I was pointing out. Am I missing something?
Perhaps it would have been better to say "I'm not saying he is the only one responsible."
Yes you have reading/sarcasm issues. He is paraphrasing no one in particular. Try reading his statement again but imagine quotations around it until the ...
My bad, that was the other guy who says the exact same things as you (BHOP), which in turn means that your original statement was false. There are people in this thread saying that Pryor is the reason we are not in a bowl/national championship.
we'd be in a National Title...if it wasn't for him
seems to indicate that he IS the reason, not a big reason, not one of many reasons; the reason, when the reality is that even if Pryor was never part of the team, and the other players got caught doing what they were doing and Tress covered it up, and then the DiGeronimo stuff happened, we would still be where we are now.
Serious queston, if it wasn't for Pryor would the NCAA have been more lenient in regard to Tress covering up for and playing ineligible players?
Truth is, LOIC was the cited reason for our penalties as an institution. Sure, Pryor was one of those that led to the issues, but if Tressel reported the misconduct, there's no way to call it LOIC. That said, I send no good will towards TP.
We did not get LOIC, we got FTM and that wasn't even for JT not reporting the tatt stuff. It was for the Bobby whats his face stuff that came AFTER. No school has ever gotten a bowl ban w/o LOIC except for us.
Please don't re-hash the LOIC garbage. We were repeat offenders. You're sounding like the idiots of our fan base who just believed everything gene smith spoon fed you.
This is amazing. It's like no one on this site can think for themselves. I thought members here were different than other sites, I guess not. FTM is the 2nd highest charge. Look at the past decade...mo c, Troy smith, Jim obrien. Add to that 2 more violations, and not little petty ones, involving multiple players DURING the investigation and yeah, a bowl ban could be seen coming a mile away. Anyone not named gene smith and with an ounce of common sense (redundant) could tell there would be a bowl ban.
Pryor finishes 13-28 passing for 150 yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 interception and 9 rushes for 49 yards and one touchdown. So 3 tds, one turnover for 299 yards.
Pretty good for a qb in his first career start.
I like to believe that my best hits border on felonious assault.
I think you meant 199 yards. I thought he did well for his first start. Was rooting for him. Looked like he needs to get a few of his fellow players on board though. They didn't seem to rally around him.
Some rookie mistakes, but overall looked the part. Made some good throws. He looks a lot better throwing. Who knew that actual coaching by a qualified coach could help someone improve? Weird. Still a freak of an athlete.
I actually thought he looked bad throwing from a physical standpoint, but to his credit he was somehow pretty accurate on nearly every throw. Every pass was a rainbow or a floater, even the really short ones. Just like when he was at OSU he had no real zip on his throws...but they were definitely more accurate. He also seemed to make good decisions with the ball.
I hope he does well to wipe that smug look off of Todd McShay for saying he should be a wide receiver. The man gave three years of hard work for ohio state and as of now he is the only osu qb in the nfl. i cannot fault him for being a product of his environment.

I don't understand the love and fascination in this thread.
Love of what?

Maybe Al left one more gift for Oakland.

Did you forget Wisconsin, Miami, Oregon, Miami, and Arkansas?
Going by your comments, I don't believe you actually watched Pryor play.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Yeah he was so good, making 2nd team all big ten, wait...honorable mention, for a couple years.
That says more about the BigTen media/coaches, than it does Pryor. It's the same BigTen that never gave Jim Tressel a CoTY award.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Lol he had 1 career 300 yard passing game in the regular season, against Indiana, which got vacated.
So because he didn't throw for 300 yard every game means he wasn't good? That sounds like the logic of a M*chigan fan.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
No he just wasn't the best or 2nd best QB in the big ten in any given year. But stick to your conspiracy theory lol
So you'd take Denard over Pryor?
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Miami...Miami. It's as if you have no idea which teams Pryor actually played against lolz
NT
I said a primary reason, not the primary reason.
How many "primary" reasons can an issue have? Definition of "primary" is pretty much "the."
Pryor and co. were the match that led to the huge fire. Would you NOT call Pryor a primary reason we're not bowling??
As much on him as it is on Tressel. Everyone gives him a pass while Herron, Posey, and the rest don't get as much heat as TP does.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
They didn't bail on their senior season...and yes they do get some heat from people I talked to
Pryor was banned from the university anyway, he bailed the same way Tressel "retired". He was never going to be given the opportunity to have a senior season here.
When he played 3rd and 16 never seemed like a big deal.
~Because we couldn't go for three~
I agree with the few posters that still have a bad taste in their mouths from the whole Pryor era.
Well said Buck I.8. +1 to you sir.
Agree.
Yawn......who gives a rip about tatoo boy.

Yep I did; and he's still a POS. If not for him and his band of tattoed morons we would be playing in the BCS my friend.

Without Urban Meyer. The whole unfortunate situation was a blessing in disguise. Root for Buckeyes.
Also, "tattooed morons" kind of pissed me off. I have some ink and feel fairly confident in most intellectual forums.
I have tattoos, and yet I can figure out how to use the "reply" function when replying to another's post.
We? What position do you play?
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
You're right Mr.Highwire; what's behind us is not important; when that door closed a nice Urban window opened and we are all the better for it! Go Buckeyes!!!!!!!!

My bad; but I'm betting you actually paid for yours; as did I my friend.

this thread makes me laugh. TP is soley responsible for us not playing in the Title Game.....Can't be serious? Good jokes tho

"Gangster stuff?" Like a buckeye tat on his arm? That's pretty racist man.
Pretty pathetic personal attack on the kid IMO...
Gangster stuff, like Michael Vick eye black.
You have the right to like him anyway, and you have the right to call me a racist (though your labeling may appear to make you look more judgmental than the person you are trying to label). And I have the right to cringe when kids I don't think reflect on the University in a good way are given exposure.
How is having the words "Michael Vick" on your eyeblack "gangster?" He may have looked up to Michael Vick as a kid.
Really??
Values: low
Team Ethic: lower
Your opinion stinks...
Pretty much your whole uninformed view of the whole thing...
Jamal Marcus called tOSU the University of Ohio State at his announcement ceremony as well. It's not that big of a deal.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
I'm still waiting for an explanation of what exactly "soley" means

That's how I see it for sure...
The world is full of kings & queens who'll blind your eyes & steal your dreams - it's heaven & hell - Ronnie James Dio.
1) even if we could go to a bowl doesn't mean we'd be in the title. Bama still might of passed us.
2) Tressel would still be here and so would the old staff (Bollman, QB coach, etc). Who know's how many games we win.

He himself could, but his assistants sure as hell couldn't.
we? Wow. a lot of people on this thread play for OSU and we (fans) are unaware! Just stop bro.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
I try as often as possible to write "OSU" as opposed to we myself, as I tend to think along your lines.

Ill choose to remember the good times.

edit:people can't deal with facts on this forum. What a joke.

Then you agreeing with him makes no sense. Because you said,
Not what I said lol nice try again
My bad, that was the other guy who says the exact same things as you (BHOP), which in turn means that your original statement was false. There are people in this thread saying that Pryor is the reason we are not in a bowl/national championship.
He IS a big reason we're not playing in a bowl, what's your point?
The quote
seems to indicate that he IS the reason, not a big reason, not one of many reasons; the reason, when the reality is that even if Pryor was never part of the team, and the other players got caught doing what they were doing and Tress covered it up, and then the DiGeronimo stuff happened, we would still be where we are now.
And you're sounding like one of those guys that listens to everything E!SPiN tells them.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Except we didn't get LOIC, repeat offenders or not. FTM is not the same as LOIC

I'm watching a choppy stream...we'll see how long it holds up!
first TD of his NFL career. and not looking horrible at all. He might be able to do this.
TD pass.
TD TP
Happy for Pryor and his 3 TD's!
Pryor finishes 13-28 passing for 150 yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 interception and 9 rushes for 49 yards and one touchdown. So 3 tds, one turnover for 299 yards.
Pretty good for a qb in his first career start.

I think you meant 199 yards. I thought he did well for his first start. Was rooting for him. Looked like he needs to get a few of his fellow players on board though. They didn't seem to rally around him.
Yes, I did mean 199, thanks for catching that for me. I honestly think that he may claim the starting job next year.

Some rookie mistakes, but overall looked the part. Made some good throws. He looks a lot better throwing. Who knew that actual coaching by a qualified coach could help someone improve? Weird. Still a freak of an athlete.
Fundamentals are a crutch for the talentless.
Agreed. Fairly accurate - even his recievers were dropping good throws. But he was lobbing the ball. No zip at all.
But he made good decisions and seemed poised.
There's potential!
TP played well the second half definitely had a better game than 1/2 of Newtons this year
I think he could be a breakout star kid has unlimited talent
I'm a friend of thunder is it any wonder lightning strikes me
and No I dont blame any of those kids for what they did
as a former D1 athlete you take what you can get most 20 year olds would

I hope he does well to wipe that smug look off of Todd McShay for saying he should be a wide receiver. The man gave three years of hard work for ohio state and as of now he is the only osu qb in the nfl. i cannot fault him for being a product of his environment.
Too bad there weren't more games for him to play this year. I was pretty impressed with his showing.
