I'm going Over...could be # 3 or higher if all goes well. We have 18 now and 7 would give them 25...see what you think.
Mike Mitchell
Trey Johnson
Vonn Bell
Chris Worley
Donovan Munger
Shelton Gibson
James Quick or Corey Smith (sorry WayCraken...looks to be trending that way. However, Timmons has a tentative visit set up in January...keep your fingers crossed man).

We'll definitely be top 5. The quality that Urban is bringing in is too great to be anything lower.

I don't think a single team in the country will be better than us on the defensive side of the ball. We've already got a ton of talent and upside coming in at corner back and on the defensive line, and we're in the running for some insanely talented linebackers. Vonn Bell is the one player I feel would be the proverbial icing on the cake. I think he could flirt with double digit interceptions playing safety behind all the pass rushers on our roster.
Easily over
well if you mean quality, most definitely top 3 perhaps even 2nd best.
Its hard to compare to quantity when A&M and Georgia already have over 30 recruits.
Exactly why I wrote this thread ChicagoBuckeye...great point. I was wondering what many think about "comparing" to the obvious over signing by TX A&M and Georgia. Some have them ranked where they should be and others have them higher based on sheer numbers alone. Not to mention the Bama's and others aren't done recruiting just yet...so to say OSU's a lock for #3 is or higher is a bit of a debate at this point. Top 5...no worries. I like many feel it's who we get vs where we end up that is more of the important matter. Can't wait till Feb 6th...should be interesting...

Right. It's worth taking notice that while we're well aware that we're still in on several top 150 recruits and can move up...so are Florida, ttun and most defnitely Alabama.
Once Meyer finishes with a bang the Buckeyes class will definitely be top 5 and probably top 3!
Top 5 for certain, but I'm thinking top 3 when its all said, and done.
I don't care where this class is ranked when it starts just as long as its #1 4 years from now.
I agree..Dont neccessarily care where this class is ranked as long as the team ends up #1 (more than a few times) in the next 4 years.
I do see us surpassing Sparty's little brothers as #1 in the B1G before Urban gets done.
Top 2 class for sure!!

After Munger not coming for his OV, I doubt we see him in this class.
I concur.

It was confirmed that the rumor of him cancelling was false, he should be arriving in Columbus today
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite

Visit still on for Munger

Rumors started on Friday night that Shaker Heights (Ohio) two-way lineman Donovan Munger would not be making his Ohio State visit this weekend. Munger's coach cleared the air.

With so many formulas for how teams score highly among Rivals, ESPN, Scout, etc., it's hard to say. More importantly, if we finish with most of the players still on our wish list, it's mission accomplished. Missing on several among Mitchell, Bell, Quick, Johnson, and Gibson, though, would be legitimate reason to score us a little lower, IMO. It will still be a very, very strong class, just not in top five. That said, I think we'll do very well among that group.

over..
Over IF they get Trey Johnson and/or Mitchell. Wasn't Noah Spence a late surprise last year? I remember an interview where he said he wasnt even considering OSU until he met Coach Meyer. I am thinking there will be 1 more of those this year, someone who has us 2nd or 3rd on their list or not at all and Meyer visits them and they change their minds. Hes already locked down Conley that way. Of course I am not worried about how high our class is. They gotta pan out down the line first. But I am optimistic Meyer is going to get several Division 1-ready players in addition to the ones that need time to develop. I worry more about something messed up happening like academic problems, injury or somee stupid garbage like what happened with Alex Anzalone last year.

Class Rankings Update:
Rivals has OSU @#7
247 has OSU @#4
Scout has OSU @#8 (have not yet added Munger to class)
ESPN has OSU @ #6 (only 18 commits listed)
Judging from these rankings, I'd say top 5 is definitely doable, top 3 perhaps.
