Nebraska Dumpty

Nebraska Dumpty fell off the wall in 2003. After decades of being one of the top 1-5 programs in the nation for decades. The Black Shirts were one of the proudest and toughest defenses year in and out (like the Silver Bullets run for several years)... but once they fell off a few years after their Woody Hayes (Tom Osbourne) left nobody/no coach has been able to put them back together again (especially the D). First up was Zolich, he actually got them into the NC game a few years after Osbourne left but he started losing a couple games to many each year and even though their D was still their strong suit, the gave up 70 in one game and he had to go. Callahan and some of the kings horses and coaches from the previous staff was the next to give it a try with the goal of getting the Black Shirts D back. but the losses kept mounting and one of them involved giving up 66 points, the D wasn't back and neither was Callahan... So they called in a defensive "expert" with a great NFL background and college background. He'd lead a lot of great D's including the one at LSU the shut down tOSU in the NC game the year before. He would surely put Nebraska Dumpty and the D back together again, right? Nope, it looked promising for a little while each year but the defensive genius from Ohio with the name Bo isn't cutting it in the Big 10, at least not with the D. Those other coaches post Osbourne each had 1 really bad number put up on them. Here's what's happened in a few years to the Black Shirts D in a few years under Bo 52, 62, 63 ,70. This has to hurt Cornhusker Nation as they love their D and there historically great program. They won't except it and Bo will be out soon. It hurts all the Big 10 and Ohio State of they cannot become something that at least resembles the Nebraska program of 15 years ago. Who's gonna put Nebraska Dumpty back together?
