Why punch it in when you can throw it in. Nelson hasn't been punting in air in passes all game and doing things that hard way. So far its been working for the Gophers. Fingers cross they score here and put this game away. I haven't seen their defense play this good since they stomped Purdue.

The worst part of this game is that I realize that I've been mispronouncing Doege the whole season.
This would be pretty huge for the BIG as a conference if Minnesota won this game tonight. IMO it would already be a successful bowl season for the BIG being that every BIG team is an underdog in EVERY single game. If the Gophers win tonight, I think the BIG has a good shot at winning 4 games this bowl season. with MSU,Badgers,and NW getting W's

It's disgusting to me that a team like Texas Tech can call themselves "winners" after tonight. Minnesota gave that game to the Red Raiders.

Not to mention, this is a Minnesota team laying the floormat of the Big Ten vs. a middle-tier TTU squad. In a home game in Texas. I hate that the B1G is always scheduled in unfavorable bowls in hostile environments and when they don't exceed expectations, the media goes wild about how slow and bad we are.

Rutgers and Minnesota repping the big ten. I have feeling the rest won't be that close. Of course nw will take it to overtime and lose.
Rutgers would have only been repping the B1G had they won. They lost so they are considered Big East. Besides that is the conference they played in this season.
I have to say Minnesota acquitted itself pretty well, considering their opponent had home state advantage, and that the Gophers may have been the least qualified bowl team I have ever seen.
But to the rest of the country, it's just another B1G loss, sad to say.

I don't understand...I literally wanted to break my TV after that game. Why does the B1G do this every year? We get close or have the lead, and always blow it. And all we get is losses. Up seven with under two minutes left and you lose in regulation. Unbelievable.
It will be looked at as a loss no matter how close it was or if Minny should have won. They didn't and that is the end of that. The B1G doesn't disappoint. Started watching last 5 minutes and first thought was how Minny was going to lose this one. Funny how that was the first and the correct thought as it never seems to fail. And many B1G teams can be subbed in place of the particular one playing at he time. So very sad but true. Must get changed. Somehow.
Minnesota played two bowls down (how does a team with 2 B1G wins make a bowl game anyway?) against a TxT team with wins against TCU and WVU and almost wins it were it not for atrocious play-calling in the final minutes. Typical Big Ten... Why do I even bother rooting for our conference carpets anyway?

Because somehow people have made it so the play of the conference carpets reflects on us.
Just think, Minnesota was playing two spots higher than they should have been. If us and PSU would be playing this bowl season then Minny would be in a much easier bowl game.
All of these games are practically home games. Im not blaming that for the losses but why cant we have bowls in domes atleast like Minnesota, Indianapolis, or Detroit? Why do we have to travel so far to every bowl game?
Indy yes, Detroit Maybe but Minnesota no. A lot of it has to do with what is around the city and visiting the twin cities, I can tell you everything is a ride on the Light rail away from you wehre as other cities have things next to their stadium.
