PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
Tuberville leaves a Texas Tech recruit dinner and never comes back...
I was expecting a dick move to be how Bret Bulimia got a Juco player to decomit from Wisconsin and follow him to Arkansas. But this will do for now...
While Ohio State's players hurdled the brick walls of Michigan Stadium in their throwback uniforms to celebrate with Buckeye fans, Michigan tailback Michael Shaw sobbed uncontrollably while walking off the field. - Grand Rapid Press (21-10 OSU)<
Anything that man does is a dick move, so I didn't think it was worthy of posting. This is f#$ked up in my opinion.
I saw that this morning... I wonder if they even told the coaches or what. To me you would at least expect him to say goodbye and that an emergency came up. Some sort of cover story... I mean, I doubt he has a chance to convince these recruits to jump to Cincy with him now...
Dine and dash, Tuberville style. lol
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Hmmm I kinda wish Bucky would pick him up so we could continure make douche jokes about their coach. He would have fit in perfectly at Camp Randall.
Once I found out it involved leaving dinner I knew it couldn't be Bielema or Hoke
Hopefully he is around In 2014 so we can serve him up on a platter.
Wayne Woodrow Hayes
what was he supposed to do? say "This school is really great and you should play football here. Oh by the way im no longer the head coach"
born and raised in Cleveland
Well for one he could have been a man and at least finished the dinner. Going to the "bathroom" then dipping out without a word is utterly classless. Regardless if he knew he was taking the job at least be polite and say you have another engagement to attend. Bad form in my opinion.
Sounds like the kind of A-hole move I would pull on a date that told me she does'nt put out until marriage.
"Get him a body bag, Yeah!"
Kinda of an a-hole move? total a -hole move if you ask me, but then again Im not really surprised by what 2 berville does...........
Battles are sometimes won by generals; wars are nearly always won by sergeants and privates. Football is no different, the guys down in the trenches win the games, not the coach.
I think that once he said yes to Cincy ANY further contact with a Texas Tech recruit would have been a serious NCAA violation
"Because I couldn't go for 3"
I wouldnt expect him to explain the situation. I would expect someone to excuse themselves from the dinner and leave. Not just bounce without anyone knowing.
An A-hole move may be an understatement...
Edit* LMAO and you know why^^^^^^^^^^This must be offensive or an over the top statement...ppl amuse me here.
"There's nothing that cleanses your soul like getting the hell kicked out of you."
"I love football. I think it is most wonderful game in world and I despise to lose."
Woody Hayes 1913 - 1987
yea, I edited the original 'cuz I didn't want to get schwacked. Bring on the downvotes.
Tuberville is on the Dan Patrick Show right now trying to explain himself. He is claiming he had no contact with Cincinnati until the day after this dinner took place.
