As far as news and information I know this isn't on par with "What animal Urban Meyer would be?", "How Bert got a hot wife" or if toilets really do flush backwards in Austraila BUT...
Any news on this situation? Heard he was checking out LSU; however, are the Buckeyes a play here?

Well and that quicky I read an article that said he actually committed to LSU...Oh well

Well the SPiN and Scout are saying he committed to LSU.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
his offer from LSU is conditional, and by conditional i mean that he qualifies academically. the "insiders" on recruiting services are saying he may go JUCO due to grades
born and raised in Cleveland
I think I read on ESPN that he has already committed to LSU but they supposedly may not be able to accept his committment due to potential issues with his transcripts due to some irregularity with a class he took in 9th grade. They're in a wait and see mode at this point.
In terms of OSU, though, even if he didn't commit to LSU, I don't think we go back after him. We pretty much have our eyes set on a select few players and are committed to trying to get them over a 2nd TE.
Unky, doesn't it seem we just addressed a similar issue with UNC. It now seems moot.
Ahh...touche salesman
This is a little different though. He "decommitted" from Bama because of this. I actually have to think that Bama told him that they wouldn't take his commitment because of it. This is more of an issue of his grades not being on par to actually get into the academically inferior SEC schools...if that doesn't send out a big YIKES then I don't know what does.
High School is not that difficult...If these kids struggle now what is it going to look like when they are in college? Unless of course they are attending UNC.

I wouldn't say that. Some of the smartest people I know struggled with high school for whatever reason. It's different for everyone.
Don't remember Johs Mcneil....who was he committed to?
Yeah what someone else said above me, Bama knew he wasn't going to qualify and it's been known for sometime now that he'll most likely being going juco. So I was glad he passed on us.
He actually didn't pass on us. Word was that OSU stopped recruiting him similar to what they did with Derrick Green. I seem to recall him tweeting something about how he thought OSU was the place for him but the coaching staff and Withers specifically had told him OSU was no longer interested.
All this above and TE commit OJ Howard, who may be one of the top ten players nationally.
