That is awful, it will never make its way to espn though because Lousiville isn't popular enough.
"You'll be proud of our young people in the classroom, in the community, and most especially in 310 days in Ann Arbor, Michigan on the football field."
Not so sure about that. College football will be the talk of the sports world over the course of the next week. I'm not saying it will get equal billing with ND-Bama, but I think it will get some coverage.
EDIT: It's already up on College Football page on ESPN.
I wonder how this will get spun. The AD has to be fully aware yet he treats Strong like a Rock Star. Living in Kentucky but this is the first I heard about this. Im sure there gonna paint Grant in a bad light. If it goes to court in Louisville the kid doesnt stand a chance. They covered up for Rick Pitino quite well.
I wouldn't doubt it. When Strong signed a contract extension he was viewed as a hero at Louisville, a guy picking the smalltown team over going for big SEC money (which is silly, Louisville isn't smalltown and he'll make buckets of money in the ACC, but it was how many chose to view it). I would be surprised if they don't find a way to try to bury this story or push it aside. The kid, who appears to be the victim here, will become (if Louisville has their way) a disgruntled ex-player who couldn't hack it and wants to take it out on others. Sad the way individuals get trampled by big-time university athletic departments.
Not that I think Strong is necessarily a villain, as there might be more to the story than we know, but it seems like these stories are very common. You see similiar cover-ups with rape/sexual assault cases against football players (ala the Notre Dame article that came out not that long ago). Anything to protect their name-brand.
so does Louisville's Cardinal Mascot. Someone please explain why an institution of higher learning puts teeth on a bird....... to make it look tougher? A walking, smiling, fist pumping nut is way more understandable.
Interesting find BLH...should be interesting to see what happens.

Oh damn. Hope justice is served, whatever that may be. This story sounds like it does have teeth, though. However, there are always 3 sides to every story.
Alex, next time you call him, please ask him what his thoughts are on the matter. I'm curious if he's not worried about it at all or if it makes him consider if he went to Louisville, the possibilities of Strong being implicated & found guilty in something dirty and ultimately terminated when Quick still has X number of years to go there.
Keep in mind this is just one side of the story. I would not come to any conclusions until the whole story comes out. This coud be completely true, or it could be a kid making up a story. I will withhold judgement until I hear all sides to this.
The only caution I have is the manipulation of some of the facts that will occur in Louisville to support Strong. I saw this machine work in Pitinos favor. The woman in that case was not the best person herself but the manipulating and under handed system completely destroyed her leaving people thinking Pitino was a victim. It should be you reap what you sow but I am sure this will get buried. I still havent heard anything about this in Ky.
I think this is different. The woman in the Pitino situation would have been fine but she tried to blackmail him and she got caught. Pitino was not innocent but the whole thing was turned on her and Pitino came out more like a victim because of what she did instead of just come out with the story.
this might have more legs because the kid is not trying to get his, he just wants justice. If it is true. Who knows nowadays.
I have hope, and want him with the good guys more than any other recruit. He is friends and family with die hard UL fans.
One thing he tweeted interesting tonight is the fact he plans on laying low when he returns from AA game. Could it be because of his choice? Pure speculation. Fingers crossed

If it's too loud, then you're too old!!
Wow that is a big deal.

This deserved a signin and upvote.
If this picks up steam, Strong will wish he had taken that Tennessee job.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Nah if this picks up the Tenn job may have looked a lot more like George O'Leary's ND gig

Not a Ville fan, but nonstory, Strong not connected in anyway & 2 bros were kicked out asap...
Told to lie and took away scholarship! Hardly innocent.
If strong is being sued he is most certainly connected.

Class of 2010.

This story has teeth? How so? I fail to see the credibility that others in this thread see.
The kid wouldn't lie about being assaulted just for the hell of it. Someone obviously asked him to.

Quick is all U of L. Follow his twitter you'll see. Parents Both went there.
I will continue to hold out some hope that he chooses us on this one. :D
