If Chryst takes the Wisconsin job is Dorian Johnson back on the market?

I know you're probably sick of the back-and-fourth but I could definitiely see Johnson opening things back up. I know the kid wants to stay close to home but the one advantage Pitt had was Chryst's record of putting OL in the NFL. With him out, you have to think Johnson is questioning if Pitt is the right choice. FWIW, our favorite reporter, Mark Schlabach, thinks Chryst is the front runner for the job.

If Chryst leaves and I'm Urban I call Dorian and ask if he wants to reconsider. If he says no then just move on to Dawson.

I can see Dawson as the prize, but i agree with this, definitely give Dorian a call, he might surpise us

I could seem this scenario play out, especially if Pitt hires a "ehhh" coach to replace Chryst. Would love to have Johnson as we seem to be a close second to a lot of top lineman lately.

I don't know if it was Chryst's record of NFL placement that swayed him. He sounded like a kid who simply wanted to stay home.

Here's hoping Pitt brings back Wannstedt. That was a LOT of fun to watch.

Think he stays with Pitt. Its close to home and I think hed just want to be done with recruiting. Everything ive read about him seems like he didnt want to get too involved in the process and just wanted to a make a decision and go with it. Would be completely shocked if he decommitted but I just dont see it for a 2nd time.

Jared Shanker posted something on Twitter about Chryst saying (can't remember exactly), "I know I've been the speculation of head coaching jobs but I'm committed to Pitt University and the Pitt football team."

So doesn't look like Chryst is going anywhere.

There has always been clear obvious reasons to pick a team close to home. If Chryst leaves his OL coach of the NFL stars is no longer there. Staying local is nice if it is paired with good option, if it isn't there he might change his mind.
