Let's get that 2014 ball rolling!
I feel like a kid on Christmas morning... Lets get this ball rolling indeed.
Nothing like dancing on the field in 02...
I don't think urb is letting 2014 kids go public. I suspect we will not see much with regards to this gentleman for a bit. Especially since he is a WR and we are still waiting for 2 2013 targets.
I would agree with the this to a certain extent. If a player is good enough in the staffs eyes (i.e. number 1 or 2 on their list for that position) then I don't think the staff would tell them to wait.
I wonder how Thad Snodgrass would feel if Lonnie Johnson was allowed to commit but he wasn't.
Yep. Personally, I would take them anytime. But that's just me. I don't like popping a kid's balloon if he is ready to go.
Under normal (or SEC circumstances) I'd say just take them as they come, the sooner the better the more the merrier...get momentum going for this class. The problem is due to our schollie restrictions the staff has to be very picky and very careful that they try to get exactly who they want because they don't have much margin for error with 2014 recruits.
Would you want a 2013 recruit that is scared off by a 2014 recruit?
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
Man... I should just make 11W my home page. Not complaining by the way...
Tom Crean listens to Nickelback...
Yeah dude, you got keanu reeves' phone number? I want to smoke a phatty with him.
"Get him a body bag, Yeah!"
Not a lot of Pub for this kid. Trust the coaches of course, but not exactly the WOW recruit i was expecting.
Neither was Elliot at the time he committed. Now I feel like that kid is going to be my favorite.
EDIT: so either I have a stalker too or someone doesn't understand what I am saying. When Zeke committed he was hardly on our radar as fans were in search of Derrick Green and other higher rated prospects. Knowing what I know now, I love me some Zeke and am looking forward to him in this offense
i agree wirh you. look at sprinkle. he came out of nowhere, and now is a four star on some services. this staff knows what they're doing
born and raised in Cleveland
Not diminishing the point, but Sprinkle is still a 3 star on the 4 notable services.
Can he enroll a year and a half early? Not even for the team, it's just that he lives in Gary
Amen. Tough town. Doesn't get safe until about a mile into Lake Michigan.
I thought that Alex had said that Snodgrass delay seemed to be academic, so that it may not be a snub so much.

EDIT: Sorry, you can delete. Probably wasn't that interesting the first time.
Kids a specimen. Great build, excellent vision and obviously wants to be a buckeye. Wilfong says it is committable.
I like this kid. but I would rather wait & get the train rolling with a top notch talent like McMillan, Booker, Lattimore, a QB or a top ranked Tackle.

I watched the highlight clip of Lonnie Johnson on the 12/14 Quick Bits.
I must say, my view on him has changed. Alot! Seems like the staff really found themselves a gem. I would love to have Johnson, Snodgrass, Lattimore as our WR class for 2014 & theres a great chance thats what it could be w/ another WR added, hopefully Artavis Scott from FL.

"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
So does anyone know how this kid rank and compare to the other WR offers, such as Snodgrass, Lattimore, Josh Malone, Demarre Kitt, Autry, Artavis Scott? Is this a little bit of a reach offer here. And how many WRs are they planning on taking in this class? You have to think 3 tops if they plan on taking 4 OL and 3-4 LBs.
He was offered by the staff... That's enough to qualify in my opinion.
Yep. If a kid wants to commit that the staff offered and wants to commit then its all fine by me.
UFM knows what he's doing.
Simple question, does the 'gray box watch' jinx things?
Notes...
What exactly is a "Gray Box"?
When we drove from Cleveland to Madison we accidently stopped in Gary, IN to get gas. Man that places was scary and looked desolate. Note to reader, get gas elsewhere.
Talent aside, these are the type of kids that become so emotionally connected to the university, we feel for them and want them to come to Ohio State. These are also the same kids that when not provided the opportunity to go to OSU, commit to Michigan. They then get brain washed by coaches saying, you never were good enough for them, they didn't want you. It will be interesting to see where he goes.
You tell the SEC when they can learn to read and write, then they can figure out what we're doing. - Gordon Gee
