Per ESPN, announced this morning at a ceremony at his HS. Don't see this anywhere in the Forums but is in Buckshots so my bad.
Anyhow, we didn't see this one going our way for a long time. I think Gibson is target 1 as far as WRs go, would have liked to see Foster a buckeye but I think there was a little coldness from both sides after that first visit, whatever happened.

Just did a quick peek around the net and found some interesting things about this:
-He texted some people telling him he was going to Pitt on Wednesday
-He changed his mind this morning on his decision
-He apologized for the decision
-He didn't put an Alabama hat on
This one is far from over. I think he'll go to Pitt by signing day especially if Satan bolts for the NFL.
Who?
who indeed sir....who indeed
the b and the t arn't that close on the keyboard....
It would start to make up for the other stud Foster they lost to their archrival...
He decommited from Auburn. Sounds like he has some interest in Washington right now.
The wealthy get wealthier...
I wouldn't get to far ahead there. Foster is a great talent but already has a lot of baggage, baggage which could very possibly hold him back.

The #1 team in the nation receiving a 5 star recruit and probably the best receiver in the country is a great analogy for the rich getting richer.
No it isn't, considering who Alabama is getting.

Huh? I am totally confused now. No matter who is already committed a five star blue chip is always valuable.
How is it confusing? I said that Foster wasn't a case of the rich getting richer because of all his baggage.

Alabama can take him with his baggage, it is the rich getting richer...
I agree. Rich getting richer. If he does carry this so called baggage Im sure Mr. Saban will humble the fella. Go bucks!
"So called baggage?" Have you read about Foster and why Meyer stopped recruiting him?

It doesnt matter what "baggage" he comes with. He's one of the best (if not the best) WR's in the nation! So the fact that Bama which is already loaded with talent gets another stud is the perfect example of the rich getting richer. Im sure Saban can keep a lid on this kid so his so called "baggage" is pretty much void at this point. Besides Bama can afford to take him. If he pans out great another Julio Jones, if not, then they have plenty other studs to replace him with... Dont be butt hurt.
Who said I was "butt hurt?" I was just offering my opinion.

I agree. You can't argue against his talent, and I don't know him as a person so I'm not gonna be quick to judge him or say he has "baggage". With everything I've read, I don't see him as a bad person or someone with baggage
I've been one of Foster's biggest advocates as far as deflecting the idea that he's a prima donna, or that he has some deep-seated issue that will keep him from success, but all the signs point to him being the type of kid who will have to get some other parts of his life together before he can think about success on the football field.
Obviously we dont have a ton of evidence, but the evidence we do have supports my case: OSU stops recruiting him because of his alleged behavior during his visit, his grades are such that he likely won't qualify without some SEC "help". Just seems like a kid that has growing up to do. Nothing wrong with that, but if you're looking for baggage, there's a good chance you'll find it.
You might find it and you might not. But just because his grades are suspect doesn't mean he's a bad guy. And for his recruiting visit, again everything I've read he did nothing bad. So he tweeted that he didn't like listening to the academic side of the visit. Big deal. I was a 4.0 student and felt the exact same way on all my visits. That doesn't mean I had baggage. There's no denying that Urban stopped recruiting him, and I trust Urban completely when it comes to recruiting. But I don't think it's fair for anyone on here to bash the kid based on things we have read on this site. I'm guessing that Urban just got a feeling or saw something in Foster that he thought wouldn't fit in with what he's trying to accomplish here at OSU. But that doesn't automatically mean he would be a problem at any school he goes to.
But its real hard to put a lid on horrible grades. Duron Carter anyone? He ends up Juco IMO.
I'm going to have to agree with 703 on this one. Think Duron Carter x10. This kid could be a huge cancer.
-The Aristocrats!
Most people at 247 and other sites seem to think this kid is Juco bound. Wouldnt surprise me, it is said his grades aren't good and along with his immaturity, well its a good fit for Bama.
Bama lost McNeil earlier this week who most think will be JUCO or prep bound. I don't see Foster ending up at Bama. I think his mama will win out and he will be at Pitt if his grades are good enough.
Probably losing McNeil is best for them. he probably won't qualify, like you mentioned, and OJ Howard is a STUD
Perfect fit.
Bama is thin at WR. They need Foster to take Duron Carter's spot.
from what I've read on Foster, him and Duron are actually the same person.
Don't give up... Don't ever give up.
It's not quite the same extent, but Duron qualified to go to OSU, and it looks like Foster will have to take a year.
Foster is a risk worth taking if you're an SEC school that can oversign. If he doesn't qualify or is a disruption, they can always cut bait.
