So OSU made it to the final 3 for Max Redfield without a visit or an offer. What's going on with this situation because I'm not complaining about it but wondering if we have a realistic chance at getting him to C-Bus

I think this is one of those, the kid has interest but not serious interest and the staff is not recruiting him because they feel good about another player (Bell). So, Redfield puts OSU in his final 3 so he can choose among3 hats instead of two.
Kind of like what Muhammad is doing with having us in his final 5.
In fact, thinking about it more, both are rumored to be heavy Notre Dame leans. Maybe Kelly trying to set up recruiting wins versus Meyer?

Never really thought about it like that. Interesting, but I could definitely see a coach telling a player to have [X School] hat on the table to draw more attention to their announcement. Doesn't get much bigger than announcing on national television between USC, Notre Dame, and Ohio State. People or recruits that don't know any better may think Kelly beat out Meyer for said recruit when we all know Redfield was never seriously interested in Ohio State or vice versa.
It's all for show he's going to Notre Dame, staff is very confident in where they stand with Bell and that's why the never offered.

He claims to have talked a lot with OSU's staff, so maybe they are hedging their bets a little bit with him. But without a visit there is no way he comes. He is not Marcus Baugh with family in the area that I am aware of.
