Just read this online: http://www.courierpostonline.com/article/20121219/VARSITY/312190030/Varsity-football-Eastern-star-Woodard-graduates-early-headed-to-Ohio-State

I know Gene has probably covered this in his quick bits, but NOW IT iS OFFICIAL. This is something to be commended for all of the dedication and hard work that it takes to put into graduating early.
For anyone who has been living under a rock lately:
According to his Twitter Page: Woodard is planning on enrolling early at The Ohio State University shortly after the U.S Army All-American Game.
Heres to hoping Young Eli becomes the next Buckeyes Great!!

I think he might become my favorite buckeye on the team....
welcome to buckeye nation eli. good luck.
With Howard (and possibly Roby) gone and some depth issues at CB, it will be very good to get Eli on campus early. It will be interesting to see what other young CBs will step up this year (Reeves, Murray, etc.).
Congrats Eli! Welcome home!
Am I wrong in thinking that since he will enroll early, that his scholarship will actually count towards 2012's total?
If so, that may allow for more room in this incoming class.

In the B1G that number is essentially meaningless because there aren't limits on how many you sign in one class. The key number is the total number on scholarship and for us that number is 82.
That has already been factored in, and really is not even an issue for Ohio State this year. The overall scholarship number is still 82, no matter under which recruiting class Woodard counts.
If OSU had 26 verbal commitments this year, then yes, I believe Woodard could count towards last year's recruiting class, allowing OSU to sign the maximum of 25 in this year's class. Either way, though, OSU won't be signing more than 25 players this year, so like I said before - no impact this time around.

Thanks for clarifying, OLDCOLUMBUSTOWN.
