Forget the depth chart and the prospects of a national championship, how hyped would you be if your last name was Bell and you were a defensive player and then on every 3rd down a bell started ringing prompting 100,000+ fans to go nuts? When Bell ends up a star at OSU (as in baller not the STAR position) you know his face will be on the big screen instead of a bell ringing. It's perfect. He has to committ. Hopefully Pantoni thought of this and incorporated it in his recruiting.

This pitch must have worked well for Dorian Bell...until he transfered...womp womp
No offense man, but 100,000 bells ringing = annoying. Besides, I'm pretty sure Tennessee and Alabama fans can also ring bells, too. I'm not sure how this is a selling point only for OSU.
Hells Bells plays on 3rd down. That has been going on for years, nothing to do with fans ringing bells...
My bad, I'm an idiot. I read through this quick and skipped the 3rd down bell part.
I deserve the downvote. I thought you were referring to dreadful cowbell ring like Mississippi State and from my childhood going to see the Columbus Clippers.
It's all good. Hopefully the dime a dog night blocks out any memories of the cowbells from the Clippers games. Although there is no more Daryl Strawberry, Clippers games are much better now with the new ballpark.
Other than the cowbell stuff, Clippers games @ Cooper Stadium were a blast when I was a kid. Unfortunately though, since I haven't lived in Ohio for about a decade and only visit family there 3 or 4 times a year at most, I haven't been to a Clippers game in the new ballpark.
I still have one of those cowbells still somewhere :\
Class of 2010.
Sadly, I still remember some of the words to the song:
"Columbus Clippers your team is #1, Columbus Clippers your fans are half the fun,
No matter who you're playing, You'll always play them well, Columbus Clippers ring your bell.
Ding-a ling, a ling, a ling, a ling, a ling..."
Haha that's awesome. I remember as a kid learning my first lesson about drugs from my Dad as he explained why Strawberry could be so good in the majors but end up on the Clippers. Life lessons...
I'm not sure if Mississippi State would approve of us stealing their tradition.
Ohio State's band SLAUGHTERED Michigan's band. If this were a football game, it would have been Florida State vs. Savannah State. - SB Nation following OSU vs. UM 2012
You beat me to it...My instant thought was in the voice of Will Farrell "We need more Vonn Bell"
100% of unprayed prayers go unanswered
absolutely awesome...
I hear Christopher Walken.
I clicked on it... I regretted it immediately...
BME please edit the size of your vid. It is blocking the active in the forum posts on my screen.
Why the downvote, I agree with this post. If anyone knows the demisions I should use please sure so I can avoid this blunder. Sorry all.

I usually put 250-300 in the first box, and it should go to scale
Tennbuckeye - I think he is referring to the bell that rings in the stadium on 3rd down.
Not the MSU cow bell deal.
I think so too, If you were ever on the live gameday blog on here. We would chant/type BONG BONG BONG every third down. I thnk it amped us up as much as our defense.
~Because we couldn't go for three~
i have a fever... and the only medicine is more vonn bell!
mark may wins douchebag of the year... again
Damn! So sorry for the accidental downvote! (On my phone) Count that as a +1 for me. Can someone upvote to counter my mistake?
I would send Vonn Bell a full-sized Pro Combat helmet, what we wore for the Michigan game, and let that speak for itself now that everything else has been pitched.
Yea, that'd be great until he sold it and we got into trouble....
Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
I don't think he would have to sell it for us t be in trouble...
