I think someone at Cal needs to contact Coach Hazell
“Right now, Michigan is not at the pinnacle of college football, and that’s all Urban Meyer cares about...He’s been there and knows what it takes to get there.”
If I'm not mistaken Danny Hope was making $950,000. I'm not sure if that's more than or less compared to Cincy.
Ohio State's band SLAUGHTERED Michigan's band. If this were a football game, it would have been Florida State vs. Savannah State. - SB Nation following OSU vs. UM 2012
Generally speaking, yes. But Purdue has turned into a pretty toxic job recently. They're at the bottom of the league in pay scale, although they supposedly have 4.5 million set aside for the new staff. It'd be nice to see them improve.
The B1G in general needs to pay more for coaches. I'd be nice to have some better games to watch. I hope Hazell lands somewhere good. I always root for former coaches to do well (with the exception of Bo back in the day).
Me too, although Dantonio has turned into an insufferable whiny ass. It's really hard to root for him. Also, I can't find it in myself to claim Beckman as an Ohio State product...
I read somewhere that Purdue was gonna start paying more. But I doubt it. That is such a tough place to do well at. Not a great state for recruiting. In the same state as Notre Dame. Intense competition from Ohio State and TSUN. It's tough.
@TennBuck...Maybe they can get 'Ol Sam to do a voice-over in there Coaching search. "Only YOU can prevent a Dumpster Fire (of a season)!!!" Lol

Win for Purdue if you ask me.
Agreed. Although he won't get much of a raise from what Kent State pays him. ;)
We can't stop here; this is bat country...
I'm lazy. Can you link it?

I thought Purdue's HC process was very selective? Only mustached men can get the job.

Well, I think the reason that happens is because Purdue pays $hit. The poor head coaches can't even afford a razor!

i dont think hazell will leave kent state to go to purdue... he is a big time up and coming coach. he will end up at a big school soon.

Wasn't Butch Jones offered the Purdue job?
Purdue is definitely not a step up from Cincy. It's a lateral move, at best.

Purdue probably pays better.

B1G is better than Big East by far, doesn't matter which teams.

Purdue has narrow it's short list down to Freddie Mercury, Rollie Fingers, Wilfred Brimley, Craig Stadler, and most chicks from Michigan.
D. Anthony
And don't forget Sam Elliott.
