Even though it's Chung, FWIW:
@MChungOZone
It is really early for Cass Tech ATH/DB Damon Webb but a source says that OSU has a slight lead over Michigan and Michigan State.

Webb is an excellent athlete, and you have to like the idea of opening up Detroit. So it'd be enjoyable on more than one level. Cass Tech specifically has had quite a few good recruits as of late -- I've heard Jayru Campbell from 2015 will likely be a great recruit, as well.
But my michigan friend read on mgoblog that he is a michigan lock lol
They think he's a lock because he goes to Cass Tech, and that reason alone.
I'll believe it when he names his source, or when someone legitimate says it.
No way. We can make Michigan sweat a bit, but Hoke has turned Cass Tech into Michigan's Glenville.
I agree, it's not inconceivable he ends up in Columbus, but at the start of fall practice next year there will be 7 players on Michigan's roster from Cass Tech. This also just happens to include 3 cornerbacks, and only 1 upperclassmen. You gotta believe all the recent CT alums will be on Webb to join them.

Not just because he goes to Cass Tech.
Also on MaxEx 7 on 7 team. That team is full of future Michigan players.
Jourdan Lewis, Delano Hill, Shane Morris, Khalid Hill, C'sonte York, and Wyatt Shallman.
I'd be VERY surprised if Damon Webb didn't end up at Michigan.
Crazier things have happened though. I thought LSU would be their main competition.
This isn't your typical Cass Tech situation. Sure, he's friends with those guys, but this kid has family in the south, and something tells me he won't want to stay in the midwest. I don't believe for a second that OSU leads, and I think he'll get reeeal interested in LSU as the cycle moves forward. I'm not gonna say he won't go to UM, but he's atypical as far CT players are concerned, and the SEC is calling.
OSU has a great shot w Webb. I would not say leader but definitely a fighting chance.
You sound like Michigan folks claiming they had a shot with Ted Ginn. I think we're wasting our time with Cass Tech. We'll never dent that fence. Couldn't even get a kid out of there (Finley) Michigan didn't want.
You're right, too bad we couldn't get that Gholston kid. He probably would've broken our single season sack record.
I could see urb tapping into ct. His recruiting prowess is unmatched by those who previous ly recruited ct for us. Seems like coombs is already making headway up there. I think we will get one big fish outta their in this class hopefully mcdowell or webb.

Not seriously. Gary Hosey has been on campus for a visit and a camp, he's an LB/RB who I don't anticipate getting an offer. Will White and Deon Drake (MSU commit) are also linebackers, and the latter is the only one who is offerable if there is some sort of LB disaster in the 2014 class.
Thanks bradda lol

Has a good relationship with coach combs : fact
I can see him at OSU most top guys from Mich when they leave the state have more success at top programs e.g Bettis, Pepper Johnson, Nick Perry just my thoughts on it.
Sam Webb at go blow says he's a weaselville lock , because his dad is a weasel fan and he grew up a weasel fan but I'll take it FWIW.
defending Ohio from behind enemy lines since 1977
Sam Webb is a hack but it would not surprise me if he ends up at scUM
To be fair to mgoblog, Sam Webb is affiliated with them in no more than their team allegiance. He works for scout, I believe, and a Detroit newspaper.
