I do like me some sports betting. I like
Washington +5, Every game Boise played against a decent team was very close. I would probably pick Washington straight up, so definitely getting points.
UCLA -1, Baylor won't be able to stop UCLA offense. I see this game being similar to USC-UCLA game.
West Virginia -4, Syracuse sucks
LSU -4, Clemson hasn't matched up well with SEC teams recently
Wisconsin +7, Wiscy and Stanford both play a lot of close games. Whoever wins will win by less than a TD
Oregon -8, I think K State is not that good. Oregon is. Oregon by double digits.
Texas A&M -4.5, I don't like Oklahoma. Their defense is bad.
Notre Dame +9.5. Will be close, low scoring game. Can't believe ND getting this many points
I don't feel confident enough on the others to bet on them.
Anyone who wants current betting lines, can find them at http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/sportsbook_sniper.html
Good stuff.
Washington has been a weird team this year and Vegas does not know how to play them. I've made some good money off them already. I like that pick.
I also like UCLA over Baylor, who played one very good game. UCLA has enough of a defense and will run all over Baylor I think.
I also like West Virginia, but Syracuse has a pretty good offense. It will be high scoring. I may bet WVU to win.
I am not going to touch LSU or Clemson. There are about 10 different teams that can show up for this game.
I don't know much about Stanford, but I saw Wisconsin play NEB and feel that they could have beaten anyone in the country last week. Completely impressed, but Stanford's D is pretty stout. Home game for Stanford, I may take Stanford to win given Wisconsin's Rose Bowl struggles and current situation. Plus, I'm OK losing this bet and I'm OK with Wisc. winning.
I also like the ND pick, but I will take Bama to win because I want ND to win.
Oregon is a funny team as is Kansas State. K.State got beat through the air against Baylor, I think. This could be a good one. I'll take K.State if the line moves to +10.
I don't think A&M is that good. I though OU was pretty darn good, but they've laid some eggs in some big games. Just because A&M is in the SEC now doesn't mean much, OU still knows A&M and I'm taking OU +4.5, anything more than a FG.
I agree with all of those except Oregon in terms of picking with the spread. I think Oregon/Kansas State will be a wild game. I'd pick Oregon straight up, but if you're giving K-State 8 points, I'll take that all day.
Class of 2010.
I am a little surprised there was no mention of FSU -14.5...which I love by the way.
This line could be FSU -20.5 and I wouldn't think twice about laying the points. NIU cannot, will not be able to hang with the Noles. Even on their best day.
Another one I like, even before today's news, was Duke outright over Cinci. Cincinnati has been unimpressive all year, and Duke can score points. Throw in the coachlessness issue and I think this has upset written all over it.
I also like Vandy minus a touchdown over NC State. That game is in NASHVILLE, which is Vandy's back yard. Pretty much a home game, and James Franklin has the Dores on the cusp of it's first 9 win season since 1915. (I'm actually glad they dropped us from their schedule, as a Nashvillian, and someone who is exposed to Vanderbilt a lot, Franklin has this program on the up and up) **Let's also not forget this is a NC State team that lost to Tennessee, yes the same Tennessee team that Vandy boatraced 41-18 this year.
And one last one before I go, Arkansas State minus 4 against Kent State. Two coachless teams, but I think Arkansas State has more firepower than the Flashes.
Good luck to everyone this bowl season...Money to be made!
NC State fired their coach - the kids have someone to play for. NC State is also the same team that beat FSU. I would go against you here and take NC State.
And I agree with you on Duke. I'm very close to this program and it's on the verge of exploding as soon as they learn how to play pass defense. No problems scoring, though, and they defend the run well. I think all these things point to taking Duke with the gracious offering of points.
I wont bet on FSU-NIU. I try to stay away from apparent mismatches. Weird things can happen when 1team is not motivated and has all the pressure, while the other has nothing to lose and all the motivation in theworld.
