I was sitting here thinking about the Black Stripe program that Meyer implemented earlier this year and it made me curious to know if any Freshman is still wearing one? I could not find anything on google so I thought I would ask the knowledgable 11W readers. It would be great to see some type of tracker on this site if it does not already exist. Just a thought...

which is more relevant/important? Have you seen forum after forum about who is losing their black stripe through out the year. nope. but i certainly see recruiting all year around.

As far as an immediate "want" I agree a recruiting tracker would probably be highest on my list. As far as a long term item though i think the black stripe tracker would also tell us who is making an immediate impact and who may be a long term wash out. I see them tied together in a way letting us know which if our coveted recruits "get it" and which players may be a long term project. Just my opinion...

haha, no, I mean the Black stripes. They are not well known, and pretty crappy.... Did not expect many people to get it right off the bat unless they googled it.. heh no worries
I tried googling them as well lolz. I thought maybe you were making a cross between the white stripes and black keys.
I thought there was a point just before or after the first game where "everyone else's" stripe was removed. I beleive i saw that here.
I thought about posting a thread about this very topic back during ttun week but was afraid I'd be chastised for it (for not being relevent enough for some folks or old news or something). Thanks for bringing it up!
Black stripe feature to be a full fledged member of the 11w community. X amount of upvotes through comments, posts, etc, and you get your black stripe removed. Also, x amount of downvotes and you get your blackstripe back.
Hot update that I know you all been waiting for. I heard from an unnamed source that it is very likely that all incoming freshmen....
will have black stripes!
The night before reporting to camp and being assigned their black stripes, the incoming freshman will drink 18 cases of Red Stripe, while rocking out to The White Stripes and Yellow Stripe. Later that night, they'll watch two old movies -The Thin Blue Line and Stripes. Then, they'll take turns playing pin the tail on the Henri Matisse painting - Green Stripe.
Not sure if we should condone underage drinking...tisk tisk.
You also forgot to mention having to chew an entire pack of Fruit Stripe gum at once to see how long the flavor actually lasts...

Good idea. Just underline the user name with a black stripe. Pretty easy.
I think a black stripe as a strikethrough of all your post until you earn enough helmet stickers is appropriate ;)
