^I'm not an insider, so I didn't read the article itself but it was posted today by ESPN's Midwestern Recruiting expert Jared Shanker.

If true (which I'm sure it is), it's bit confusing to me. I thought OSU was completely out of the Robert Foster sweepstakes. Unless they were there to visit someone else?

Now if that's true, that is very interesting. As you said, OSU was reportedly done pursuing Foster. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens with this.

Perhaps if they're thinking Quick isn't gonna commit to OSU, they're looking at all their options. Who knows.

Article said Luke Fickell visited and wasn't even allowed to see Robert Foster and his recruitment is over as far as OSU is concerned. Will decide between Pitt and Bama on the 19th or 20th and is expected to stay home at Pitt.

OSU just went 12-0 during a year in which NO ONE besides us (as far as OSU fans) gave it a snowball's chance in hell of happening. I personally think OSU will have to turn kids away after this years performance...so don't be surprised if kids come out of the wood work to try to jump on the OSU train. With that said...I don't think Foster is one of those kids. He had his chance IMO...

I read it... nope, it's over. Here's a little quote from the piece... "Luke Fickell was in this week and he was hardly welcomed with open arms. Fickell did not get to meet with Foster and things are done between the two parties."

Ahhhh thanks for the info! I really liked Foster's talent, but from what I've heard here and there, he seems to bring a lot of baggage along with him. We've got our hat in the ring with enough WRs at the moment that it's not the end of the world to lose out on him.

Also sounds like Foster is still bitter about OSU wanting to part ways with him from before.

Even after it was rumored we were done with him he was still tweeting that he was going to officially visit here.

Kid is a heck of a talent but I think OSU will be just fine with Quick, Gibson, Marshall, Jacobs and possibly Elder.

Absolutely. The only thing he has that the guys we're recruiting don't have is the SEC height + strength--but we can honestly find that elsewhere if we want to. And if you ask me, both Evan Spencer and Michael Thomas are capable of getting there if they continue to hit the weight room.

He's the best wr in this class stinks we won't be getting him. I was hoping he could go to fort union in va n come to the bucks like mike thomas but looks like that bridge has been burnt. Man ye would of been scary good at osu n will be at pitt or bama hope he doesn't burn us in the future. Go bucks in urb I trust

Still a possibility he has to go to fork union if he chooses Pitt. Academics don't really matter in the SEC, but if he chooses to stay home he still has to keep his grades up senior year to be eligible
