And we're in it (along with Alabama, Miami (FL), Notre Dame and Rutgers). Surprising because I have not heard much about this kid at all aside from a periodically placed post on here every few weeks or so. He would likely be a LB, at 6'3", 230. Are we serious about this kid?

As far as anyone knows, the staff is not in contact, as we are full at the position. he's a good player, and would undoubtedly help with a pipeline into the east coast prep powerhouse, but I see this as a kid putting a big name on his list to round out a top 5, not a sign of serious mutual interest.
It's odd he'd do that, though. Why not just make a top 4? He also had other huge offers (Florida, LSU, Michigan, South Carolina, Oklahoma, USC, Virginia Tech, etc.), and I doubt none of those teams had serious contact with him either. I'm intrigued now. How are we full at LB?
From every scouting report I've seen on the kid, he projects to fill out as a DE, which is where he was in camps. If he played LB for Urban, he would fit in as the viper role, which is already filled.
Around this time last year, this guy was THE guy. Along with Tyrone Swoopes. Not that they've fallen off in a big way or won't be good players at the next level, but man, how a year can change things haha.
I agree with I.8 just for name recognition. Its awesome being the hott school with the rockstar head coach. How great would it be if he signed with urb on nsd wow that would be nuts.

The only player we'd take on the D Line right now is Dashawn Hand. Luckily he's in the 2014 class!
Multiple insiders have said he are done with the defensive line for this class.
It is nice to have top players putting you in their top five because of name recognition.
I think Muhammad has been a Notre Dame lean (possibly a heavy one) for a while now.
This is what I've heard as well, ND fans seem very confident in his ending up in the class. He played it very quiet for most of the cycle, so I think he's just playing the game a bit before committing.
Hats on the table is what it's all about for some recruits. Seems silly, but it's part of the show.
im just glad he doesnt have meatchicken bc they seem to think they were getting him. the few mich friends i have think theyre dline is as good as ours and this just makes them see the truth a little more. go bucks!
Nd/Rutgers battle and I see him going to Rutgers at least I hope would be great get for future BIG team.
